A warm welcome to Christine d’Abo joining us today at Love Bytes.
Welcome Christine 🙂
Hello and thank you so much for having me here today! I’m Christine d’Abo and I’m an author and lover of erotic romance.
As much as I’m an author, I’m an even bigger reader. I was a huge sci-fi and fantasy reader years before I discovered the joy of romance. Imagine my bliss when I learned that there were authors who’d combined these two genres! I went through and read every book I could find, opening my mind to worlds and romances that took me to places far, far away.
In my thirties, I discovered that I also loved reading LGBTQ stories. There were worlds where gender, race and sexuality became fluid, where the consequences of love not only reflected the challenges of the LGBTQ community, but also allowed authors to explore modern challenges in new and exciting ways.
There are so many amazing books out there that had inspired me to write my own M/M space romances, I couldn’t possibly list them all. But I thought I’d share some I’ve read in the last little while that I truly enjoyed.
KC Burn – Alien ‘N’ Outlaw (This whole series is excellent. Highly recommended!)
Lori A. Witt – The Tide of War (There is a lot going on in this book. Love, aliens, betrayal. So good.)
Kate Pearce – Retribution (Book 2, helpful to read 1st book to understand the world. Trigger warnings to be taken seriously, but Kate is always amazing with her writing.) I’d love to hear about some of your favorites. Please share them in the comments below and I’ll be sure to get my Kobo ready to download. 🙂

About No Remedy
For months, Mace Simms has been seeking an antidote for the poison killing her mentor. Her only hope is Alec Roiten, a brilliant scientist hiding on a backwater planet. Posing as a research assistant, Mace offers the elusive genius all the help she can, ignoring the explosive chemistry between them. Soon they’re close to a cure.
But then Alec’s former love Byron shows up, attempting to claim a bounty on Alec’s head, and all that careful research gets left behind when they’re forced to flee. And when Byron realizes the tip-off about Alec was a ruse by his rivals to lure him out into the open to kill him, the bounty hunt turns into a three-person scramble for survival.
Byron wants his old lover back, Alec is consumed by a haunting secret about the poison he’s desperate to defeat, and Mace is caught between them. But she’s beginning to think that’s exactly where she belongs as the three are drawn together in their race against death.
Publisher’s note: This title is an edited second edition, previously published in 2011.

Christine, My brother is a big fan of your work, and so am I. I love a good story line, and you have captured it.
I love M/M space stories, too, and though I have all the ones you mentioned, some are sitting on the TBR list. Thanks for the recommendations. 😉

congrats on your re-release 😀
I love the KC Burn series too. I haven’t read any of the others yet but I’ll check them out. Chaos Station by Jenn Burke and Kelly Jensen is one of my favorites. The Skybound trilogy by Fae Sutherland is good too. Thanks for your post! violet817(at)aol(dot)com
Started reading m/m contemporary, and have gradually branched out into sci-fi/PNR/UF. This series looks great and can’t wait to read all your available books.
