In art and in love, it s the rough edges that make things interesting.
Having grown up with artistic implements always in hand, there’s almost nothing Austin can’t make real. Except for one thing—an official relationship with his best friend, rowing teammate and occasional hookup, Vinnie.
The combination of emotional and sexual frustration fuels a spark between Austin and the nude model in his drawing class. Austin isn’t used to having trouble focusing; models are merely challenging subjects to be rendered on paper. But the geology TA’s direct blue gaze is powerful enough to drag Austin’s focus away from his physique.
After a quick and very dirty post-class encounter, all the reasons that Austin has been waiting for his best friend go fuzzy in his mind. Sean is nothing like Vinnie. Sean is persistent, pays attention, and makes it clear he wants to be together.
But if Austin can’t get his head and his heart on the same page, he could lose his friend, or his lover. Or both.
Warning: Contains rock geeks, tent sex, a dictatorial cox whose idea of a good time is drawing naked dudes, plus one naked dude who wants to be more than a good time.
REVIEW:
Out of all the 6 books I read in this series this one is right up there with one of my favorites. I absolutely ADORED Austin and Sean together. What I find so great about this whole series is the fact that this author was able to create so many characters that have so many different personalities. I loved that. I loved being able to get to know each character in their own specific story.
Austin Keating is a small little guy who packs a big punch as the coxswain on his college rowing team. For years he’s been lapping up the scraps of affection his roommate and best friend Vinnie has giving him. Tired of the wait and intrigued by the model in his drawing class he decides to live in now and embark on a sexual relationship with the model.
Sean has been interested in Austin for a while. He’s just been waiting for the right time to approach him. He gets the opportunity and runs with it.
These two are absolutely nuclear from the moment they come together. Agreeing that they want nothing serious these two spend as much time together as physically possible and most of that time is spent having sex. Friggin hot, mind blowing sex!! I cannot stress how unbelievable these two are together.
I think Austin and Sean were good at communicating together but I wish Austin was better at communicating with Vinnie. I understood the misunderstanding was between both of them. It’s as though they got so comfortable with each other they stopped communicating as friends. I was satisfied with the resolution but would have liked more. I figure that will be in Vinnie’s book.
I’ve come to really enjoy this author. This series has been so much fun to read. This one will not disappoint any fans of the series. Recommend….and on to book 7!!
