BLURB:
Nightclub owner Marcus Feldman never met a man he didn’t love, at least for the night. Although his best friends have all found love, Marcus shuns their advice to commit to one man and settle down. His past has taught him monogamy and marriage is for fools, and Marcus is anything but a fool.
Tyler Reiss’s dream of dancing professionally is unexpectedly cut short and replaced by a different kind of love. He trades in his ballet slippers for go go boots, and spends his nights dancing at the hottest gay club in the city. Flirting with the customers for tips is easy, but resisting the dark and sexy Marcus is becoming harder to do with each passing day.
Unforeseen circumstances bring Marcus and Tyler closer and though they give in to their mutual passion, both still struggle to guard their hearts. When crises threaten, Tyler and Marcus find their strength in each other rather than falling apart. Tyler must choose to either run, or stay and fight for the life he wants, while Marcus realizes that love doesn’t mean losing himself and opens his heart, making him a better man in the end.
What a wonderful surprise that you brought Marcus and Tyler with you
Hi Marcus and Tyler how are you doing?
Marcus: Now that the snow is all melted much better.
Tyler: Oh please you loved it. He and Lillie had a snowball fight in Central Park the day after the storm.
Marcus how did you feel that you needed to wait for the third book to get your story ?
Felice saved the best for last (Smug Grin)
Tyler what made you see past Marcus his attitude and appearence and see something more?
Once I moved in with him, I saw through his arrogance and knew there was more to him than good looks and a hard body.
Felice how did Marcus and Tyler come together in your head?
I love pairing opposites and I knew I had to make Marcus work for whomever was going to capture him. At first it was going to be Marcus’s accountant, but that idea never got legs in my mind. Then one day I was looking at pictures of Roberto Bolle and bam! Tyler was born.
Marcus are you still meeting up with the guys ?
Are you doing things together now with the 6 of you more ?
We try and all spend as much time together as possible. We are more than friends; we really are each other’s family.
Tyler you seem to click really well with Marcus his friends and their partners , were you scared that that wouldn’t be the case ? was it important for you ?
I was scared to death to meet them. I figured they’d be like Marcus; obnoxious and arrogant. Instead Zach is the sweetest man and while Julian and Marcus may tease each other, they love each other fiercely. I envy their friendship. Having them like and accept me was the most importatn thing to me once Marcus and I got together.
Tyler one of the things I admired in you is your pride in what you were doing no matter what, did you ever regret doing something ?
I regret losing touch with my sister over the years. Maybe I could have helped her.
Marcus are there things you would change, take back or do differently if you could?
Certainly, but I don’t believe in looking back on things i can’t change. I wish for a lot of things that now aren’t possible.
Tyler how is the danceschool? and Marcus are you still spending less time in Sparks now ?
Do you both like how that is going ?
Tyler looks at Marcus and they smile and nod.
Felice is there more coming ? I mean I would say there are definitely some stories there when I think of Sparks for example? Also it would be great that through that we could stay a little bit updated on all 6 man, I admit 🙂
Well yes. Valentine’s Day I have a novella coming out for Zach and Sam leading up to their wedding and all the guys are there. And I’m finding it hard to say good bye to these guys, so I’d lay bets you’ll see them all again sooner rather than later.
What would you both (Marcus , Tyler) want to say to the readers who waited anxiously for your story ?
Tyler groans: Don’t listen to him. He is a changed man and for the better.
And as this interview will be up after the release I can ask this , How is Lillie and how is life with the three of you “Big Brother/ Father”.
Thank you so much for your time to answer a couple of questions is there anything any of you would like to say to our readers here @ Love Bytes?
Felice: Thanks guys….
Thanks so much too all three of you please give my love to Julian & Nick , Zach & Sam.
Dani 🙂
TEASER
A knock at the door startled him; he checked his watch and saw it was only six-fifteen a.m. Who the hell could it be? His rent was paid, and he didn’t owe anyone anything. All he knew was that nothing good occurred early in the morning, so with his heart banging and much trepidation, Tyler hurried to open the door before the knocking woke people up.
“Who is—” The words dried up in his throat at the sight of Marcus. With his haunted eyes, unshaven face, and windblown hair, he proved more desirable than Tyler had ever imagined.
“I need to talk to you.”
Tyler remained frozen in his doorway, fear, worry, and excitement whizzing through him so fast he felt dizzy from the rush. Reflexively he glanced behind him, making certain they were still alone. His heart slammed in hard painful beats against his rib cage.
The expectant yet hesitant expression on Marcus’s face shocked Tyler; he usually seemed so calm and in control. That familiar, hardened look in his eyes coupled with his annoying arrogant grin were nowhere in sight. For the first time, Tyler knew he had a glimpse of the man behind the flashing lights and glossy exterior. Always supremely confident, now that the cracks in his armor showed, it made Marcus more likable and relatable.
And ultimately more dangerous. Tyler didn’t want to think of Marcus as vulnerable and emotional; that created a man who Tyler might come to like as a friend.
“Can I please come in and talk to you for a minute?”
Without speaking, Tyler opened the door wider, turned around, and walked to the kitchen area, which was no more than an open space with the small counter, stove, and refrigerator. He needed a moment to gather his thoughts and get away from the disturbing emotions Marcus stirred up.
Tyler’s strength had been tested so many different ways these past few years that there were times he was amazed he was still standing upright and undamaged. From a career change that forced him to give up his childhood dream, to a life-altering decision that he never regretted but sometimes doubted he was capable of handling, Tyler reminded himself exactly what was important to him now. Not random sex, nor the good-looking man in front of him, whose earlier kiss he could still taste in his mouth. For a brief moment Tyler closed his eyes, imagined what sex with Marcus would be like. Volcanic, fiery, and ultimately, for him, heartbreaking, since Tyler knew how easy it would be for him to fall for Marcus without having the feelings returned in kind.
Priorities had a way of changing in a split second, leaving consequences that lasted a lifetime, and Tyler’s priority was no longer himself.
He opened the cabinet to take down a mug to offer Marcus a cup of coffee. The brush of cool, early morning air wrapped around him from behind, and Tyler knew Marcus stood close enough to touch. He could smell him, for Christ’s sake. Gulping down his nerves, Tyler turned abruptly to face him.
“Why are you here?”
Those violet eyes searched his. “I have no fucking clue, but I have to find out.”
“Find out what?” Tyler’s voice caught in his throat, and he damned his treacherous body for betraying him. The memory of their earlier kiss returned; the hot needy kisses, drawing the breath from his lungs, had his cock hard and leaking at the thought.
“I don’t know.” Marcus crowded him so his back hit the counter, and there was nowhere for him to run this time. “Why you let other men touch and kiss you, but me you push away.” With a sigh of frustration, Marcus brushed the tangle of hair off his brow. “Why it matters to me.”
“It’s my job, Marcus. Obviously I need the money; I’m not independently wealthy. I have to play the game to get the tips they give me.”
Marcus’s eyes turned dark. “And when you kissed me?”
Tyler corrected him. “I believe you kissed me.”
Felice Stevens has always been a romantic at heart. While life is tough, she believes there is a happy ending for everyone. She started reading traditional historical romances as a teenager, then life and law school got in the way. It wasn’t until she picked up a copy of Bertrice Small and became swept away to Queen Elizabeth’s court that her interest in romance novels was renewed.
But somewhere along the way, her reading shifted to stories of men falling in love. Once she picked up her first gay romance, she became so enamored of the character-driven stories and the overwhelming emotion there was no turning back.
Felice lives in New York City with her husband and two children. Her day begins with a lot of caffeine and ends with a glass or two of red wine. Although she practices law, she daydreams of a time when she can sit by a beach and write beautiful stories of men falling in love. Although there is bound to be some angst along the way, a Happily Ever After is always guaranteed.
