Welcome Cheyenne 🙂
Hello,
Thank you so much for sponsoring a cover release for my latest book entitled Relentless. This book encompasses an emotional journey, filled with adventure, inspiration, and plenty of heated sexual attraction. It brought tears to my eyes to write it as well as made me cheer and laugh out loud. I hope you’ll take time to read Jag’s tale and find yourself rooting for him as well.
ARE YOU READY!
HERE WE GO !
Blurb:
Jaguar shifter and sniper extraordinaire, Jag, is tasked with his most difficult and dangerous mission to date—take out the man responsible for his spotter and husband’s violent death. Again.
Sonar, an ocelot shifter, is assigned as the new spotter to the surly and scowling feline alpha. He’s impressed with Jag’s skills but sees more beneath the surface: a grief-stricken and furious man on a trail of vengeance.
Together Sonar and Jag face perils and challenges that test their skills, resolve, and the budding feelings they have for each other. As the death toll rises, so does the heat between them. Their longings could give them the strength needed to persevere, but it also might force them to succumb and sacrifice everything. One thing’s for certain: someone won’t be making it back alive.
Here’s a sneak peek at a scene from Relentless. Enjoy!
With a big yawn, he stood up, stretched, and sniffed the air. Nothing out of the ordinary. Reassured, he summoned his human form and quickly redressed.
Sonar stirred, eyed him, and extended his front legs complete with claws. He repeated the same motion after standing and arching his back. Short fangs flashed in the dark for a brief moment before he sat on his haunches with a barely audible huff.
Jag arched an eyebrow, a bit amused by the ocelot’s less than eager attitude this morning. “Cute.”
Sonar lifted his lip once more and added a nearly silent hiss.
He’s so not a morning person. Unlike Jag, who loved this time of day, when the world seemed to still in preparation for another busy day. “Yeah, bite me, little kitty.” Jag drolly whispered, not the least bit intimidated by the aggressive body language. He finished dressing, strapped on his Kevlar vest, followed by his backpack. Lastly, he picked up his guns, sticking a pistol in his ankle holster, another in his shoulder holster under his shirt. A long knife dropped into his thigh strap for easy reach. The sniper rifle he carried in hand. Satisfied, he glanced down at his companion to find Sonar back in human form, clothed, and snapping his backpack and belt in place. “Where do you think you’re going?”
Sonar spared him a glance. “With you. Where else?”
Jag shook his head. “You might consider heading back to town and rejoining your unit. Where I’m going is no place for man, beast, or the devil himself.”
Sonar’s eyebrows scrunched together as he frowned. “I will never shirk my duty, no matter what.”
Jag saw the determination and annoyance written clearly on his spotter’s face. He blew out a breath in resignation. “Then be prepared for a journey into hell.”
“Been there, done that. Have the badge to prove it,” Sonar sneered as he gathered up his gun.
“That was the fairy-tale version of hell. This is the stuff of nightmares.” Jag started heading in the direction of Sandman’s last known location.
Sonar quickly caught up. “This sick bastard might be one of the worst, but I guarantee he’s not the only one into gruesome torture.”
Jag lifted his chin and scanned the horizon. “Maybe so, but he’s the only one I care about.”
“Why?”
Ignoring the question, Jag continued along a goat path leading over the hill and through several more. The terrain proved a bit treacherous due to loose rock, silt, and the great possibility that an enemy insurgent might be lurking or had already left a calling card in the form of an explosive device.
“What’s Sandman to you, Jag?”
Jag met Sonar’s gaze for a split second. His gut lurched as old memories and emotions threatened to spill over. Stoically, he shoved them all down, forcing himself to focus on the task ahead. Only it, nothing else mattered but redemption. He’d see Sandman dead and buried this time. It’s the least he could do, considering. Sonar could fish all he wanted. Jag wasn’t about to give up his innermost secrets, especially not in the middle of a mission. “Keep up. I’m not stopping until I get to the small rise about ten clicks from here. The sooner we arrive, the sooner we figure out where he’s gone to ground.”

Growing up in the Midwest, I began reading romance novels in high school, immediately falling in love with the genre, to the point where I decided to write professionally for a career. However, that dream splattered against a brick wall, resulting in a quick death in my first writing class in college when my professor told me bluntly that I wasn’t any good at it. I shifted gears quickly, and left my writing dreams behind, eventually settling on becoming a nurse.
A few years back, I stumbled across a fan-fiction writing site on a favorite author’s webpage. I began to read stories others wrote, not only making some wonderful close friends from the experience, but also, really learning to write for the very first time. Here I was able to share short stories, practice my writing skills, and truly develop into a writer. More than that, the experience allowed me to revitalize my dream, as I rediscovered joy in writing.
Now, I spend my days off with my alpha male characters, quick witted heroines, and see how much trouble everyone can get into. When I’m not working or writing, I enjoy working in the garden, canning, and seeing my backyard as a living canvas for my whimsical landscaping, and, of course, reading romance novels.

Fanfic is a great place to start. It is a safe anonymous training ground until you are ready to remove your training wheels. I have come across published authors still contributing fanfic.
