Yes you saw it right!
As we are celebrating 2 years we thought it would be a nice moment to announce a little change
We @ Love Bytes are going to do something new!
Instead of the stars in our rating system we are changing to Love Byte Hearts!
What do you think of this new development and how do you feel about our hearts as opposed to the stars ?
Let us know and because it still is a celebration, for seven of you who tell us your opinion, there is a free ebook out of the extensive collection of Samhain Publishing waiting 🙂

I think the hearts with the bite out is great. Keeping in theme with the title Love Bytes.
I think that switching to the Love Bytes Hearts instead of stars Is awesome and totally fits with the rest of the site. It’s eye catching too!
Love the hearts with a bite taken out!!!
The hearts make the review warmer and more personal.
The hearts will differentiate your reviews from others. Love the color and the bite taken out of the bottom. Clever and fun!
The hearts is another expression of this site, I like it!
I love it! Really clever and fits the theme.
Definitely fits with the name of the blog.
I like the hearts stars have been around forever it’s nice to see something different.
The red hearts with the bites is such a cute idea and so apt for the site. It’s very easy for a reader to understand the rating, and to remember that it’s from the Love Bytes site.
I think it’s cute. It goes well with your blog name 🙂
That is great, love the hearts.
I like the hearts too. It goes great with the blogs name.
The hearts are really cute! And since they have bites in them, it really fits the name of the blog! 😀
hearts make much more sense with your blog name 🙂
Love + hearts= Awesome
Love them… very cute 🙂
I love the idea of using hearts instead of stars!! Great idea! 🙂
I think it’s a bit more fitting considering the name of the blog and it’s kind of cuter than the stars 🙂
I kind of give sites a gentle ribbing (in my head) about all the different ways they do 5 stars but without using stars. That said, I think your little hearts are adorable and are totally within your brand. So, very nice!
Huh, how to say it … Actually I totally don’t care whether you use hearts, stars, apples or whatever. That’s not supposed to sound mean or anything, but it’s just me saying that I’d love your reviews even if you’d use apples 😛

The hearts are adorable. It took me a second to realize that the missing piece was a “byte.” Are you planning on having half hearts?
This looks great. It goes well with your name.
The authors put there heart in the writing and we readers are touched in our hearts when reading so it’s only natural that the rating system should be in hearts.
I think this is clever and unique just like your blog <3
Love them, with their little nibble!!
Very clever! I think it fits well with your name. I like them a lot! Great idea. 🙂
The image suits the name I think they are adorable and would look good on the book of the week and month banners too.
So much better than boring old stars 😉
I love it, totally fits with your site’s name and just perfect!
I love the hearts with the bite take out. They are cute, they are whimsical, they are a bit personal and they are very fitting!
I love them, what a great idea!
I love the hearts! They’re a very clever way to distinguish your reviews.
Hearts with a little “nimble” is so in keeping with the blog name, so it’s great and makes it more personal to both author and reader. Have you considered, increasing your heart rating? Everyone I can think of, has a maximum rating of 5*. There are great books and then there’s exceptional books! It would be nice if we could go beyond the genetic 5*. Just askin…
Those hearts are perfect Dani!
I love the hearts, they are so appreciate for showing how much a reviewer loves a book.
I love the hearts they are perfect for you.
Love the hearts!
I’ve always thought about you guys not using Hearts before♡ Can’t wait for those reviews ♡
I really like them they look different from any other site great idea!

I love it, totally fits with your site’s name and just perfect! Love hearts!
They are PERFECT! I love this! (if I knew how to make a bitten heart I’d totally add one here)
Heart, Hearts and heart! I’m with you guy 🙂 Well done:)
Who couldn’t like hearts? After all, the world could use more love…
It is a very good visual stimulus and will the ratings have more bites out of the hearts depending on the rating, or is it just the number hearts per rating?
Strangely enough it makes me a little bit sad to see a byte out of the heart, just like a broken heart, but I am soppy that way, maybe you could have big green apples instead, with bytes out of them of course with a lipstick mark heart shaped?
Hearts definitely pop more, especially with a little love bite on the bottom and stars is what everyone else uses so this is more interesting.
Definitely brighter and a bit more appealing. Congrats on 2 years! And many more to come.
Hearts or stars, it’s all about the love! 😉 From a branding standpoint, it’s always good to reinforce yourself, though.
First of all, Happy Anniversary! Let there be many more years of reviews and happiness to come!
The hearts are quite fine, especially with the little bites taken off.
Congratulations on your new design.
