So, here we are with the final Marian son’s book, tho, as I understand it, definitely not the final book in the series (if you’re thinking “thank goodness!” then I am right there with you). I have highly enjoyed each book in the Made Marian series, and Delivering Dante definitely… delivers too. *snirk* And, as with the rest of the Made Marian audiobooks, Michael Pauley totally rocks it so hard.

Eight years ago, Dante was the only son of a highly powerful religious leader in his hometown, being gay was simply unacceptable and lead to several trips to conversion camps. Until the fateful day when young Dante was caught kissing a member of the high school football team, and locked in the basement before being chained and beaten within inches of his life by members of his father’s congregation. And then, an Angel swooped in and not only saved his life, but changed it forever. Now as an adult, Dante Marian is the new director of Marian House, changing the lives of homeless LGBTQ youth, and doing an excellent job at it.

At a Gala for Marian House, Dante meets AJ, the nephew of Marian House’s administration head, and can’t get the sexy man out of his mind. Turns out that AJ (first name Angel) was the person who rescued Dante all those years ago, from being chained on his birth father’s church’s dark basement floor. As Dante and AJ spend more time getting to know each other, AJ knows that he needs to tell Dante who he really is, but can never find the right time. Then Dante’s birth father runs for office, and his world threatens to collapse all around him. Taking AJ along with it.

As I have said with the other five Made Marian books, Lucy Lennox has yet another hit on her hands with this new installment in the series. Dante and AJ have such a special relationship and fantastic chemistry. And as usual, aunt Tilly stole the show. Especially in Delivering Dante. She had me laughing out loud, garnering weird looks and many side-eyes from the people around me.

But what made this book even more brilliant was Michael Pauley’s outstanding narration. The amazing emotion and passion he can convey brings a depth that I could never fathom. His narration made me fall even more in love with Lucy Lennox’s Delivering Dante. Listen, do yourself a huge favor and get this book. It is wonderful!
