Que pasa? Julietta Guerrera, but everyone calls me Letty. You saw that, huh? Asshole threw a trashcan at me. He’s gonna have a nice splitting headache when he wakes up. Of course Ash didn’t interfere. I’m sure whatever you’ve heard about him is true, but you know what? Who gives a crap. Yeah, he is a good partner. I’m not saying he’s not a pain in the ass, because dios mio, he could drive a saint to sin. But he respects me and my skills. He trusts me. It’s probably no surprise that Rosa and I come across a lot of sexist shit. The world’s filled with Humans who can shift into goddamn animals, but there are still idiots out there who lose their shit when they see a chic with a rifle.
Ash always has my back. If I need him, he’s there. Then again, all the guys on the team are like that. Rosa and I have never had problems with them. They treat us like they do any other agent. Sure, we all push each other’s buttons and mess around, but we respect each other. We’re a family. Sloane? He’s like a big brother. Always has your back. Dex? I love that guy. Cracks me up. He’s also the most determined guy I’ve ever known. Cael’s a sweetheart. Calvin? He’s a cool guy. Yeah, he’s got that whole ‘boy next door’ thing going on, but don’t let it fool you. He’s intense. Him and Hobbs? You know what they say about the quiet ones. You gotta look out.
Don’t get me wrong, being a woman of my stature on this team comes in handy sometimes. For one, no one expects the asskicking that comes their way. My partner’s a close quarter combat expert. He’s taught me a thing or two. Also, I can get into places my Therian teammates couldn’t ever hope to. Have you seen these guys? There’s no way in hell any of them will fit inside a ventilation shaft. Hobbs weighs like three hundred pounds. He has the most trouble when we end up somewhere with an unsound structure. Have I ever been what? Attracted to one of my teammate’s? Hell no. They’re like my family. I mean, I don’t have a problem admitting they’re pretty hot. First time I saw Dex, I thought, damn, look at those eyes. And that ass! Seriously. I know you’ve looked. I thought so. But after a while you don’t see them that way. Am I dating anyone right now? This hottie firefighter from Brooklyn. We’ve been dating a few months. Is he Therian? He’s a wolf Therian. Dimples in all the right places.
We’re heading back to HQ now. You’re in luck. I heard you’re going to get to chat with Austen. He doesn’t make an appearance for just anyone. None of the SSA’s do. That would be why you haven’t heard of him until now. The THIRDS don’t exactly advertise that these guys exist. It’s all very hush hush. You probably won’t be taking notes either. And I should probably warn you, he likes to flirt. The dude’s like in heat or something. Have fun!

I haven’t yet had the pleasure of reading any of the books but if the interview with Letty is anything to go by I would pick her as a partner any day. I love a woman who can hold her own and has a spark of feisty in her character.
