REVIEW:

Book three in the continuing saga of ex-cop and P.I. Wick Templeton and his ‘Will they? Won’t they?‘ relationship with the sexy special agent Ned Harris, who he manipulates and teases terribly every time he’s on a case. Poor long suffering Ned. ( Grins. )

Another brilliant addition to my favourite series Pulp Friction that in my opinion just seems to get better and better as it goes along. Love it!

Wick is snarky, annoying, in your face and full of it, but you cant help loving the guy.

” I’m gonna be out of here by eight in the morning tomorrow , Wednesday. In just over twenty our hours  I’ll be sipping a caramel macchiato while playing Angry Birds. I don’t foresee me needing to call you again in that time.”

” But you need my help.”

” I ‘m quite fluent at playing Angry Birds. It’s all a matter of geometry when you aim at those cute little piggies.”

Haha! The man’s a walking one liner. Very witty.

In this instalment, he goes undercover in jail to investigate a scam involving prisoners and a mental institution and like all the others its fast paced, snappy and leaves you wanting more. Watch out for a hilarious encounter between Wick and a cocky prisoner who thinks he’s a big gun in the prison, so funny!

No particular cliffhangers with Wick, each of his stories are always resolved at the end but the fun factor in this series is waiting to see more of him and Ned as in each book as their love/ hate relationship gets more “intense” each time they’re in each other’s company. Sexual tension runs hot between them and we get  treated to a pretty steamy encounter when Ned visits Wick in jail and that shows just how much their relationship is heating up… I’m thinking book four is going to be even more sizzling.

Come on, boys! You know you’ve got more than just the major hots for each other going on here!

More cameo appearances and mentions from the other “series’ within the series” and Wick’s very likeable computer genius sidekick Banyu. This would be a 5 star rating but the formatting on the mobi copy is strangely spaced out, sometimes spacing out mid-sentence and it does tend to spoil the flow whilst reading, hence the 4.5 but it’s still a great fun and a must add if you love this series as much as I do.

Roll on the next story. Thanks Havan, keep  them coming and I’ll keep reading alongside all the other Pulp Friction fans… You know you’re out there! Total keeper.
