It’s been awhile since I got to visit Cain’s magical keep and the wonderful and protective Alpha dragon that’s keep it such a safe and secure place for their loving Omegas and many, many children.
Talon is a warrior and a rescuer. He and his bestie Kami have been doing it for years. But his omega best friend is mated now to Reno, another Alpha protector and rescuer, and they have his goddaughter Miranda. And Kami is a stone singer that can match a heartstone to new baby dragons and dragons that have lost their stones because of nefarious reasons. So when Talon is sent to the cold far north to rescue a dragon slowly dying in a tower he is shocked that the tiny dragon suddenly returns them home. He calls it sliding but it’s some kind of teleporting magic. But Talon knows several things: this is a powerful gift, the dragon needs a new stone pronto or he’s going to fade away forever, and the gorgeous mirror-like dragon Mercury is his mate! So saving him is his only option.
I love Talon and Kami! They burst into the keep and it was never going to be the same again. They were a unique rescue combo. Both selfless to a fault. The caring and giving omega literally gave his heartstone to Talon to save his life! And his special talent has been so helpful in the keep. Being the keep’s stone singer has added to how wonderful this keep of Seer Cain’s is. And now that Kami had Reno and their little girl Miranda I really wanted “Uncle” Talon to get his HEA. And boy oh boy did Author Minerva Howe come through. A shiny mirror looking tiny dragon that has the ability to teleport whom ever is holding on to him to where they simply thought of was fantastic and intriguing. And I just knew somehow Kami would lead the two omegas into mischief and trouble. And I was right!
I love that this particular series is all about rescuing dragons and giving them a safe place to live, fall in love and have families. Dragons that had no hope because other dragons stole or crushed their heartstones now had a safe place to finally be safe and happy. And getting to see all the dragons we have grown to love and their growing families was an extra treat!
