Power. Loyalty. Love. The only weapons left when the bullets run out.

Former Secretary of Defense Dave Ladd Allen III built his life on control — of his men, his missions, his future. But when the shadows of evil surface, that control is put to the test.

A ruthless conspiracy tied to predators who believe themselves untouchable threatens everything he’s built. At his side is Stone — the one man he trusts without question, the one truth he’s never dared to confess. Their bond was forged in fire, tested in sacrifice, and now stands at the edge of something deeper… and infinitely more dangerous.

For Stone Michaelson, Dave isn’t just his commander—he’s the reason to fight. He’d follow him through hell, not because it’s his mission… but because it’s his heart.

As enemies close in and the pressure mounts, Dave and Stone must fight for the future waiting beyond the storm.
Because in a mission forged in blood, love may be the sharpest weapon of all.

Gravity delivers explosive action, found-family banter, and a love story carved out of steel.

REVIEW:

Finally we get the story of Former Secretary of Defense Dave Ladd Allen III and Stone Michaelson. It has been a long time coming. If you have followed this series and the previous ones from Ms. Reese Knightley, you know that these two have been attracted to each other since way back but responsibilities have prevented them from getting together. Although Dave is a little bit older than Stone, that has never been an issue but Dave’s responsibilities have been. The Former SecDef oversees all the operations of all these special groups that covertly saves a lot of people from human trafficking, drugs and prostitution rings inside and sometimes outside the US.

Yet again, they have to fight together and side by side to bring another evil down, this time the brother of Tanis, Tatum, who is much worse than his brother. Tatum brings evilness into another level and they have to bring him down once and for all.

By this time, we all know that these brothers are triplets, Tanis, Tatum and Titus. But what is not clear is that Titus, the only good brother among the three, is being blamed for all the evil deeds that Tatum has been doing. Titus who is also pursuing his brother, Tatum, to bring him down. When Viper, commander of Genesis, was stabbed a while back, everyone thought that was Titus, but in reality it was Tatum who did that but blamed Titus so that the operatives will pursue Titus instead of Tatum.

Dave, with Stone and the rest of the operatives, Genesis, Erebus, start to close in on their targets but at one point, they had to bring in Law, someone who has worked with Stone and had a past with. Dave doesn’t like it but he has to do what is needed in order to capture Titus. Stone and Law work well together, they know each other that well, and Stone left Law for Dave. But all is well with them, Dave is just not convince that that is the case. After all, Law is much more suitable to Stone when it comes to skills and age. But Stone only has eyes for Dave, his heart belongs to Dave so he was deeply hurt when Dave sidelined him in one of their very important operations wherein Dave put himself directly in harm’s way posing as a seller to Titus/Tatum.

Dave and Stone are meant to be, no matter what Dave believed at first. Stone has never strayed far from Dave, he has always had Dave’s back. Stone knows that Dave is attracted to him, even love him, but he is still holding back. Stone is determined to let Dave see that they are meant for each other, that he is willing to retire with Dave if need be. And this book will bring that for them. Their love story has seen ups and downs but in the end, LOVE WINS.

Thank you once again Ms. Reese Knightley, I love all your books and all the men in them. They are amazing men who deserve the loves of their lives. I can’t wait for the next book in this series.
