Synopsis

Win is a writer with a new house, a new life, and a rapidly approaching deadline. She doesn’t have time for the voices in her head to be demanding attention. She just wants to finish her book and maybe get laid. But what will she do when the character her subconscious dreams up starts becoming corporeal?

Demonium Rex is the undisputed king of all sexual demons, but when his people come to him with a mark who refuses to crack, he takes action. Now he is stuck in a non-corporeal form while the woman he needs to seduce is too stubborn to just let it happen. And even worse, she sticks him with a stupid name. But in the end, he will show her who’s the real King — or his name isn’t Buttercup.

Win barely remembered the trip back to her place. Hotel? Oh, hell no. She wanted the comfort, condoms, and lube that she had in her bedroom… not to mention the leather cuffs she bought for… research purposes. She remembered shoving Acel’s hand out of the way of his navigation system and programing her phone with the directions to get back to her new house. She might be lust-crazed at the moment, but that didn’t mean she was stupid. She wasn’t going to give him easy directions back to her place. She was so grateful that she had Ubered to the restaurant. If there was a heavy feeling tugging at her legs, she put it up to be excitement and a little bit of apprehension.

Was she going to gag in a good way or in a bad way on his cock? How long was his man-meat, really? Was it thick or was that an illusion? And most important, when was it considered polite to kick a hook-up out of her house so she could catch a shower and a nap before she tried to finish her book? Her deadline was a week away and she had little more than sex written. She needed more plot.

But all thoughts of her incomplete manuscript went out the door as soon as she fit her key in the lock. She remembered grabbing Acel by the hand and pulling him in before she closed the door and shoved his sexy French ass against it.

“Oh, yes,” he murmured, his hands going to her ass as he pulled her close enough to feel the seams of those too tight pants bursting under the pressure his cock was putting them under. “Tu es magnifique.

Win found herself whimpering as she lifted up on her toes and devoured his mouth. God, yes, he was perfect. He tasted of wine and spice so a little of that spilled bottle had gone into his mouth. He was so hard and warm, so human, and it had been a while since she felt anything like this. Her legs started shaking, her thighs turning into water as she leaned more of her weight into him. Him, whispering naughty little French things in between their almost-violent kisses, only made her more horny.

Finally, she pulled back, needing to get him into her bedroom and into her bed posthaste, and he seemed to be in agreement as he allowed himself to be pulled.

Just as Win was about to scream ”Fuck it! Take me on the couch! her purse, dangling from her shoulder, let out a horrendous scream before it began to vibrate.

The sound make Acel jerk back from her and look around the room, trying to seek out the source of that scream.

“My phone,” Win muttered, her fingers growing clumsy as she tried to pull her phone free. Why the hell she had put it back in the bag when they pulled up in front of her house she had no idea. “I — I often get lost in my work and this sound I can’t ignore,” she explained.

“I can use something like that.” Acel offered her a full dimpled smile, stepping back as her phone let out another blood curdling scream.

Finally, offering Acel an awkward look, she pulled it free and stared at the screen. Now would be the time that Bailey called to check up on her. “She’s just going to keep calling,” Win explained. “Please give me a moment to answer.”

“Take all the time you need,” her bare-chested boy toy murmured, stretching up and exposing even more of his bare chest in the jacket that the restaurant offered him in apology. “I can will go and retrieve the wine and dinner that the maître d’ helpfully packed in the back seat of the car.”

With that, he turned and, the sound of popping thread loud in the quiet room, went to retrieve the food and wine.

The phone screamed and vibrated in her hand once more and Win slid her thumb over the screen to answer. “What!”

“Oh wow.” Bailey chuckled. “Is that a good what, or do you need an excuse to get out of this date?”

“Go away, Bailey,” she snarled, the high she was feeling from the beginning of foreplay with Acel easing a bit. “I’m not done.”

“You should be starting the main course right now, bitch. You know this is the perfect time to sneak out if you need to. I can have Mike mobilized in a moment’s notice.”

“Hey!” Mike protested from somewhere behind her.

“Only if you want to lose your man to a violent death,” Win snapped. “And go away. I’m about to get laid.”
