Up-and-coming luxury brand Phallacy takes red-carpet fashion by storm…

Growing a fashion atelier from the ground up isn’t easy, but it’s still awesome. I design gorgeous clothes that people pay a lot of money for, I work with my best friend, and Hollywood A-listers are starting to murmur my name. Things couldn’t be better.

Except anxiety is a beast that’s ridden me my whole life. It doesn’t matter how good things might be, there’s always something it takes exception to. And when my baseline stress starts to rise, I become nonverbal.

Which is why my first encounter with celebrity stylist Griff Pevensy is both a dream and a nightmare. I have the chance to design an awards gown for one of the most iconic women in the industry, but a mostly silent meeting plus a design that’s not really his style aren’t likely to get me past gatekeeper Griff. If I want to make this gown, I need to connect with him and win him over.

That turns out to be a lot easier than expected. Who knew I’d have so much in common with an ex-Marine stylist who prefers to communicate in grunts? We both love fashion, his perfect princess dog, hanging out with my codependent friends… and maybe each other.

The new problem is… how unprofessional can we get before people notice? And how much do I care??

REVIEW:

Ok, first off, can I just say how impressed with this book I am – 1000%

This is the first book in a new series (Style Me) by Louisa Masters. I feel like I have missed the boat a bit with her contemporary stories.  I had never read any of them until now.  Well guess what, I’ll be adding more to my TBR list.  I am always so in awe of authors that can create works in different genre’s.  This one exceeded my expectations.

I just fell in love with the world building in this story.  What could be more fun than building a world around fashion.  How about including a stalker… Yes, you heard me correctly we have a bit of intrigue in this one. Which Louisa does oh so well.

Sometimes, I wish I could see an author’s research history.  I can’t imagine how much research Louisa had to do for this one.  I was so intrigued by this story line.  Her character development is once again top notch.  We have Griff, a former marine-turned celebrity stylist, and Phil, our up-and-coming beloved fashion designer and owner of fashion house Phallacy.  Nor does she skimp on her side characters.  Especially the furry one.  Vivi is so precious and just steals every scene she’s in, but Phil’s heart as well.  She is increasingly key to helping to keep Phil grounded with his selective mutism.  I would say it’s because she’s used to her daddy, Griff’s grunting a lot, but I think it’s because she’s just the most special Yorkie in the world.

This story was so much fun for me.  Not a lot of angst. Some seriously fantastic sexy times. And just the right amount of intrigue, which kept me guessing right till all was revealed.  This book kept me glued to the story and if it weren’t for needing sleep, I would’ve finished this one in one sitting. Will Griff and Phil survive and get their happy ending? Who is the stalker? Well, as usual, I’m not going to tell you any of that information.  You know the drill…

I highly recommend this story.  In fact, please run to your favorite eBook purchasing site and grab this first book in Louisa’s new series.  You will not be disappointed, I promise.  I can’t wait for the next book in this series to be released.

Till next time…
