Rory’s not supposed to hook up with his piercing clients. He’s definitely not supposed to go after his coworker’s dad…
Rory
When an older hottie comes into the tattoo shop asking for a Prince Albert, I can’t help but flirt. I’ve been on the anti-commitment train forever, but I’m always down to hook up. Except, this guy happens to not only be straight and newly divorced but also my coworker/bestie’s…dad. So, avoid at all costs, right?
Wyatt
Getting divorced only made me realize just how few friends I have. And maybe in a pathetic attempt at socialization, I ask my piercer to grab a drink with me after my session. But he makes me laugh, and he’s so animated and full of life that I want to hang out with him more.
Then I start noticing things I shouldn’t…like how those flickers of interest feel an awful lot like attraction. Same with that desire to be around him all the time too. And then the jealousy kicks in, and before I know it, I’m falling for Rory Brannon.
However, even if he was interested in more, there’s one major problem. He’s my daughter’s friend, and that makes him off-limits…no matter how badly I want him.
REVIEW:
Oh my gosh, what a great story! It was such a satisfying read.
Rory Brannon is the twenty-five-year-old piercing guy at Alchemy Ink. One day a handsome guy in his late thirties came by for a Prince Albert.
Rory is a big flirt, and Wyatt does enjoy his approach. But dang, Wyatt is his friends slash co-worker’s dad, that’s a pity, or not?
Wyatt Anderson wants to turn his life into something more. Starting with a PA piercing. He’s a divorced man with a twenty-one-year-old daughter, whom he had when he was only seventeen.
Rory is a ray of light, and Wyatt is drawn to him, he’s been so lonely for a long time. He asked Rory out for a bite after his piercing.
Rory doesn’t do relationships, he burned himself badly once, and from that time he keeps his heart out of every encounter.
Besides that, his mind and mouth work overtime, no one is attracted to that in the long term. Ha! Sweet Rory, wait for it, Wyatt is something else!
They have the most scorching encounters, and without confessing this to each other, they are head over heels. There’s Wyatt’s daughter, slash Rory’s co-worker, to consider.
Wyatt thinks he’s too old for such a vibrant personality as Rory’s, and Rory assumes he’s always too much to be kept by someone.
Rory deserved to be loved unconditionally, and gosh, Wyatt loved him and his beautiful mind!
I loved this read so much; it’s hot, of course, but also has layered characters and wonderful content.
The author writes in a captivating way, painting the characters as clear and lovable.
