OMG! I absolute loved this novella 🙂 Fans of D.K. Sutton’s Wedding Disasters series I think will adore this story.
Aidyn Christy is a single dad who is still grieving his wife Emily that he lost in a car accident two years earlier. He’s keep things together for his 9 year old daughter Lanie. They are doing OK. Emily’s much younger sister Jane is getting married and all she asks is that Aidyn not get into it with her brother Garrett. But there is a HUGE backstory here.
Garrett Bishop met Aidyn Christy in Ireland when on a trip with his sister Emily. He met Aidyn first and thought there was something there – until Aidyn met Emily and Garrett lost his chance 🙁 He’s been pining for Aidyn ever since but he’s covered that with his grief and anger over Emily’s death. Besides, if he gives in to this need, he’s not sure what would happen between him and Aidyn since they can’t seem to get along for even 5 minutes.
A disaster with the cake at the wedding pushes them together. And boy does it! It’s like moth to a flame and they go up in smoke. But Aidyn cannot let anyone know that he is involved with is deceased wife’s brother – least of all his daughter who misses her Uncle Garrett. Garrett moved to New York to get away from the one thing he couldn’t have though – Aidyn. But now? Can they?
This is a smoking hot and sweet story 🙂 This is Isaac’s origin story as well and we get to see Zye as a teenager before he starts his business. I loved every second of this novella – and if you join the author’s newsletter, there is even a free bonus scene to be had. Highly recommended – and I actually recommend this whole series. It’s a delight!
