BLURB:

In my defense, this is all Brad’s fault.

I had one very important job: kidnap Brad.
I’ve never kidnapped someone before but how hard could it be? Find Brad. Snatch Brad. Deliver Brad to the very scary people who hold my fate in their hands.

So when a handsome, flirty stranger at the bar drops his name, I think my luck has finally turned. No chase. No fight. The man practically throws himself in my trunk, smiling like it’s a treat to be taken, like he wants me to have him.

The only problem? “Brad,” the charming and slightly unhinged man I’ve been keeping hostage for days, may be the most dangerous man of all.

Now I’m knee-deep in a life of crime I never signed up for. Tangled up with a man I never meant to take—and definitely never meant to fall for. And I’m staring down the barrel of a gun for mistakes I never should’ve made.

Because everyone knows The Firm never forgives a debt… and they always collect in blood.

REVIEW:

Ansel has found himself in the strangest, scariest situation of his life. And then he meets “Brad”.

Cade has also found himself in a strange situation…and he likes it…he likes it a lot.

This book affected me in ways I wasn’t expecting. I mean, of course it’s thrilling and interesting and funny as heck sometimes. I love the relationship between Cade and his brothers. They are a little weird but the love between them is something amazing, even if they are all a little crazy.

The sex in here is steamy as heck. There’s no doubt that both of these writers know how to get the reader going when things are getting down and dirty. And these guys get about as dirty as you can get.

However there is another, more emotional side to this story and while I cannot go into details without spoiling anything, I will say it was unexpected and quite welcome. I think Cade is as surprised as the reader is with how open and honest he is with Ansel. The depth of his feelings are very evident and it helps ramp up the angst later in the book. And there is a lot of angst. It made me very happy.

Ansel and Cade seem to find something in each other that heals the hurts that have been plaguing them their whole lives and helps them because who they were truly meant to be.

Of course, we have some appearances by old friends from the first book in the series. I always appreciate that glimpse into other characters happily-ever-afters. It’s why I like series that are based on new couples in every book.

Morally grey characters are some of my favourites and the Buckinghams and The Firm definitely fall into that category. There’s something so hot about guys who are doing the “wrong” thing for the “right” reason.

On Ansel’s side, there is his best friend and found family, Neo and I like him a lot. I have a feeling he’s going to fit right into the Firm in his own slightly unhinged way.

Now, I don’t usually like to demand that writer’s hurry up with the next book but I really, really hope they hurry up with the next book!
