BLURB:

Trouble always finds its way home.

Assistant U.S. Attorney Dominic Price is finally on the verge of taking down the gangster who bankrupted his estranged father and now wants to settle the debt with him. Months of careful work are about to pay off, until his father’s sudden, suspicious death turns the case explosive and puts everyone he loves in danger.

FBI agent Cameron Byrne has Nic’s back, on and off the job. But as buried family secrets come to light, the lines between personal and professional blur, leaving Cam uncertain where he fits in Nic’s world.

As the danger mounts, Nic knows exactly where he wants Cam—by his side. And when the family he’s only just found becomes a target, there’s no one he trusts more than Cam to save them and protect the future they’ve fought so hard to build.

The explosive third book of the Trouble Brewing M/M romantic suspense series delivers heart, heat, and high-stakes action to the very last page.

REVIEW:

This story is really ramping up in this installment as things with Vaughn are becoming more intense after the death of Nic’s father. Threats are intensifying as well as Vaughn seeks his revenge, and Nic is more determined than ever to take him down. There are also the issues of moles and who is feeding Vaughn info he shouldn’t have.

There is a lot for Nic to deal with here as Nic’s past, including the mysterious GS, comes back into the picture which casts some doubt on Cam and their relationship and commitment to each other. But, these two are pretty solid overall and any doubts don’t ever take very long to be addressed and quashed. These guys really are the power couple in all ways. Just as Nic explains to the powers that be, he trusts Cam with everything from the cases to his life and they are much more successful by each other’s sides. Every time one of them needs support or grounding, the other provides it. Yin to the Yang.

I have really enjoyed this spinoff series and that Irish and Whiskey are still playing pretty big roles in as the respective bffs of Nic and Cam. A lot of loose ends are tied up here and the guys end up on even more solid ground by the end. Each installment has been a little bit more exciting and intense. All in all, just a really good way to complete the story. Looks like there is a little bit extra to come for these guys so we won’t have to say goodbye quite yet.
