Leo
I love my friend group to pieces, even if there are a few drama-llamas in the bunch. This year has been a bit much though, between hearing about their constant relationship woes and party planning calamities and dealing with my own workplace catastrophies. Taking a break to refresh and recharge seemed like the perfect plan, until I arrived at the cabin I’d booked for one to find two snow leopards cuddling on the bed.
Maverick
Another year and no mate in sight. It’s not that I haven’t looked, I’ve tried matchmakers and even a few online dating sites that resulted in some frustrating and occasionally embarrassing hookups that left me smarting after they ghosted me. All my efforts have landed me was more chastisment from my folks who can’t stop wishing I’d be more like my older siblings. If it wasn’t for Briar’s brilliant idea for a little getaway, my outlook for this holiday season would have been worse than last years.
Briar
Booking a holiday retreat for me and my best friend has plenty of benefits, including the obvious ones. While we’ve never had mating marks appear on our skin, neither of us can picture ourselves with anyone else, no matter how much our families protest the break from tradition. Booking it in a snowy paradise, well that’s just a bonus when you’re both snow leopards. At least until our cabin for two turns out to be a cabin for three.
Double-booked for the Holidays is a multi-author mpreg shared setting Christmas series. The winter holidays are hard on single shifters. Instead of going home to yet another barrage of “why haven’t you found your mate yet” questions, some prefer to book lodging and ride out their depressing time off between Christmas and New Year’s.
Except this year, their cabins are double-booked with unsuspecting humans.
REVIEW:
Double-Booked for the Holidays at the Winter Wonderland Wilderness Lodge and a polyamorous Christmas Treat? Yes, please!
Maverick and Briar have always known they are mates. They just can’t figure out why their bond mark never appeared. They know, as snow leopards, that they only appear after they have met all their mates. So when they discover that the human, Leo, that was double-booked in their cabin has triggered bond marks they are elated. A triad mating is rare but not unheard of with snow leopard shifters.
I was deeply touch when the bond mark scene played out. The horror on both Mav and Briar’s faces after their little encounter was heartbreaking. I literally had tears in my eyes when they thought that they had touched each other but weren’t mated to the other and what that all meant in that moment crashing down on them. And I can literally imagine Leo’s discovery of his own and trying to wash off the sharpie! But it was Mav that got to me hard first. His utter horror and despair was so gut wrenching. They had always know it was a possibility that they were mated to someone else because of the lack of bond marks. But to have it happen when it did to both of them about did them both in. Then Briar seeing his bond mark and both their minds were running hard. Thankfully Briar figured it out fast when Leo came out with his. The scene was so perfectly orchestrated that I both loved it and also cried through it. One of the sweetest ways to discover your fated mate in this whole series.
I love this series…plain and simply put! It has given me so much joy to read all the different twists and turns on this classic double-booked/only one bed theme in this delightful Christmas series/gift. I hope that you are enjoying each and every story so far and this one gives all the good feels. 💝
