Mistakes were made… or maybe it was fate.

Canadian alpha beaver shifter Guy sees himself as an entrepreneur, slowly growing his one-man maple syrup company to compete on an international market, but this unfortunately has meant making sacrifices when it comes to his personal life. He definitely should’ve taken the time to date, but there simply hasn’t been anyone in his lodge to interest his beast. But when he travels south of the border for a condiment convention (So close to Christmas? Whose idea was that?), he finds himself accidentally double-booked in a tiny cabin with an omega who smells suspiciously like his mate… Suddenly, his business is no longer his top priority.

For American human omega Fable, the holidays have always been a source of judgment. His parents, his happily married siblings, all asking him when he’s going to hurry up and settle down. But this year, it’s so much worse, because it also happens to coincide with his ten-year high school reunion (So close to Christmas? Whose idea was that?). He simply can’t bring himself to look his peers in the eye and admit that the man voted most likely to take over the world has simply… fizzled out. It’s a good thing the cabin he booked comes with an unexpected ally. And if there just so happens to be only one bed, then he’s willing to pay the price gladly.

Eager Beaver is part of the shared world, Double Booked for the Holidays, by some of your favorite mpreg authors. Eager Beaver is a light-hearted mm mpreg romance that closes the gap between nations and species. It features an omega who learns that appearances aren’t everything, an alpha shifter willing to make any sacrifice for love, and the clerical error that brings them together. Distance and borders mean nothing in the face of fate.

REVIEW:

I am truly loving all the couplings that are happening because of Branson and his major booking error at the Winter Wonderland Wilderness Lodge.

When Canadian alpha beaver shifter/maple syrup entrepreneur Guy Charpentier heads to a condiment convention just before Christmas in Oregon (So close to Christmas? Whose idea was that?) he never imagined that the Winter Wonderland Wilderness Lodge would have a major mixup and he would wind up with a roommate in his tiny cabin. American human omega Fable Everly is stuck attending his ten-year class reunion just before the holidays (So close to Christmas? Whose idea was that?) and  he is dreading all of it. The return to Oregon and the bitter cold made it all the worse. The fact that he’s single and never made it big like everyone thought he would is wearing on him. And the escort he hired phoned in sick with Covid. . Plus there would be the questions from his family on why he wasn’t settled down yet and popping out babies. So booking at the Lodge was the obvious choice for his sanity. But suddenly there is a very attractive Alpha who claims the cabin is his and the Lodge is double-booked!

I loved that Fable is a goodie at heart and loves to create fascinating and inventive food combos for his blog. And discovering real maple syrup from Guy’s company gave him the new twist and boost for his blog. I laughed over their outrageous antics at the reunion. And then getting to witness Fable’s excitement over attending the condiment convention was a true treat.

I was excited to see that an author took on such a delicate and timely subject as immigration with the current administration. Upending your life in the US and moving permanently to Canada to be with your true mate is daunting. But it has been made much harder with the current political situation. Although immigrating to Canada to be with your spouse is much easier than the opposite. Especially with such tension between the USA and Canada.

I love when I get introduced to new-to-me authors like I have been in this delightful series and am an eager beaver to read more of Author Trisha Linde’s books in the future.
