But if it’s meant to be only one night, why can’t I forget him? Why won’t my heart let him go?

What happens when a chance encounter turns into two? Maybe Fate knows exactly what she is doing.
*****
Bound in Heat and Snow is a steamy & sweet MM Christmas romance featuring fated mates, a handsome lion alpha, and a human who has no idea shifters exist. If you’re craving some OTT swoony moments, grab your favorite blanket, a hot chocolate, and snuggle up with this novella.

Double-booked for the Holidays is a multi-author mpreg shared setting Christmas series. The winter holidays are hard on single shifters. Instead of going home to yet another barrage of “why haven’t you found your mate yet” questions, some prefer to book lodging and ride out their depressing time off between Christmas and New Year’s. Except this year, their cabins are double-booked with unsuspecting humans.

REVIEW:

As I have stated previously, I am loving this sweet and fun Multi-Author series. It is the perfect blend of swoon-worthy romance and holiday fun. And this wonderful novella was a great addition.

Human omega Hayden is so tired of his well-meaning but meddling large Filipino family. Especially his Mom. This constant parade of eligible Alphas brought along on their family Christmas vacation is just too much! So he books a private vacation at Winter Wonderland Wilderness Lodge to ride out his upcoming heat. And to try to forget that amazing alpha he met 6 years ago for that one magical night. He was definitely the “one that got away”. Heck, he even named his thriving business on the man “Roses and Thorn Designs” because of Thorne’s Christmas wish on the Wishing Tree in the town center.

Lion-shifter alpha Thorne’s inner lion has insisted that Hayden, the sweet and spunky human omega he rescued from that boorish alpha 6 years ago is his true mate. But how can that be? He was with the delightful man the whole evening and it had a magical ending. That is until he woke up with no omega snuggled next to him and no phone number left to reach out to him. But he should have scented this was his true mate. Because his inner lion sure did. So off he is going on a personal vacation at Winter Wonderland Wilderness Lodge to finally get the omega out of his system. As his Papa had reminded him,  he is the Pride Alpha and, at the ripe old age of 41, he wasn’t getting any younger.

So imaging his surprise when he arrives at the lodge and discovers:

  • There was a booking mishap and the cabins are now all double booked.
  • There are alphas and omegas booked in the same cabins
  • There are shifters and unsuspecting humans booked in the same cabins
  • He immediately scents that his fated mate omega is in the cabin that he is assigned to and his lion bursts forth to roll atop the clothes left to dry.

Now if he can just keep Hayden from passing out!

This was such a sweet novella. I loved it right from the start. The giant alpha comes to the rescue of the omega that is obviously distressed with how his “date” was going and stepped in. Then that wonderful single night experience that touched both men so profoundly. But that’s what happens when fate places your mate directly in your path.

A nice twist was that the scent blockers that Hayden wore just transformed his scent. Thorne said it was familiar yet not quite right. It left him confused that night.

I also loved that Thorne was encouraging of Hayden to step out of his comfort box and chase his dream. And that he held on to Flare, the keychain he accidentally wound up with. He saw the potential in him in just that short amount of time.

But what I loved most was how accepting Thorne’s  family and his Pride were that his fated mate was a human. But I should have excepted no less since his Papa and Dad had adopted his brother Dimitri, a wolf-shifter, into their family. This was a Pride that was open and welcoming to all that needed to be there.

I hope that you are enjoying these sweet Christmas Treats as much as I am and looking forward to more in this delightful series that has warmed my heart when I truly needed it. And that you love Thorne and Hayden as much as I did! Enjoy!
