Each and every one of these delightful Christmas stories have been a special present. This one was an extra special gift because it also introduced me to a new-to-me author that I truly enjoyed.

Kip is a bear shifter omega that is so tired of waiting to find his fated mate. It’s bad enough that he is partnered with alpha bear shifter Braxton as an enforcer. The gorgeous six foot-six Alpha that is actually only an inch or two taller than him. But the alpha that is so far out of his league that it’s ridiculous. And the alpha seems to find enjoyment by teasing and tormenting him. So Kip is taking matters into his own hands, like his brother Wesley did, and booked himself a Christmas Vacation at the Winter Wonderland Wilderness Lodge. But unlike his brother, he won’t be ordering an escort to join him. No, Kip is on a mission…a mission to hopefully 🤞finally find his fated mate. But when Braxton shows up to his cabin, announcing that he was double booked in the same  cabin with Kip, he takes it in stride and announces they can be the others wingman to find their fated mates. Only Braxton knows the real truth…he knows who Kip’s fated mate is! It’s Braxton and he’s very perplexed why Kip doesn’t realize the truth.

This book was a little different than the past books in this series. In this book both men are shifters and are from the same den. They actually know each other quite well. And Branson manipulated somehow getting to be booked into Kip’s room. Kip’s dad actually also had what appears to be a familial mutation that stopped him from scenting his true mate, the author referred to the condition as nose blind. Thankfully it became fixed after mates became mated.

I love how doting Braxton was on Kip. He had waited patiently for Kip to recognize him as his fated mate. And he was raring to go to finally get to treat his mate the way he has wanted to. He did such sweet things but I think the cookie decorating was the most precious. 💕 That and buying the small hand craved duck on wheels for their future cubs. Swoon moment for sure!

I was pleasantly surprised that Braxton was not only vers but eager to try the role reversal. That is definitely not as common in MPREG books and was a nice twist also.

I truly enjoyed this book and will be looking forward to more books by Author Jena Wade in the future.
