It’s been five years since Colton Maxwell left Sebastian behind to go on a quick adventure. He was a treasure hunter back then, before the big accident that injured his leg and left him in the hospital for months. And before he found out that Sebastian never wanted to talk to him again…

Tarot reader Sebastian Belle couldn’t believe it when Colton left for a job and then never came back. And it got even worse when he found out he was pregnant, and Colton’s family tried to pay him off to never contact them again. Heartbroken, he tucked that stupid check away as a reminder that he was alone in having and raising his baby girl, Abby.

Which is fine, until Colton and his ghost hunting TV show end up in Sebastian’s haunted mining town house, disrupting his whole life. Then Sebastian and Colton have to separate the truth from the lies, figure out why the ghosts are suddenly so darn active in Sebastian’s house, and get to know each other all over again. All the while dealing with Colton’s family, a huge crew of well-meaning friends, and the echoes of a century-old murder. Can they make it all work, or is their treasured relationship lost forever?

REVIEW:

A brand new spin-off series from Secret Springs!

Hot Springs Junction is about 1,500 feet up the mountain from Secret Springs, Colorado. It’s a tiny town that was an old mining town back in the day. Most of the homes built in the row Sebastian lives in were constructed by his long gone past relatives. Relatives that were murdered in the home he and his daughter Abby live in. He has been a single dad since his alpha left for an assignment and never heard from him again except for that letter relinquishing Colton’s parental rights and a $2,000,000.00 check in the back of his desk drawer.

Ghosts being in the house is something Sebastian is totally used to. He grew up with them there. But, all of a sudden, the ghosts are restless and something’s wrong. So Sebastian reaches out to his friend, a local ghost expert, Hank in Secret Springs. Hank has arranged for a ghost specialist to come in and film his home for a popular tv show. He knows he desperately can use the money the show is offering but doesn’t like people creeping through his house. But when his ex baby daddy is leading the TV crew he wants nothing to do with Colton. And he’s furious with his now ex-friend Hank.

Colton had no idea that his manipulative and controlling parents took total advantage of the mine cave-in accident  that left him in a coma and then mobility challenged. He never knew that Sebastian had tried to reach out to him and thought that he ghosted him. And he had absolutely no idea that he had a 3 year-old daughter that Sebastian had struggled to raise as a single-dad omega. Furious at his parents is high. But winning the hearts and love of his daughter and omega is the most important thing in his life!

I love a second chance romance and this one was top notch. It is also the introduction to a whole new group of characters just up the road a bit from Secret Springs. Add in the intrigue of the resident ghosts being riled up, a century’s old murder mystery and evil parents trying to control their grown son, and you got yourself a riveting opening novel.

I loved that all these men instantly took little Abby into their hearts. They may not be blood related but all those men were her uncles through and through! And they would protect her at all costs.

Being separated for 4-plus years, because of the manipulation of mean-spirited, very rich and used to getting their way (even if it wasn’t always legal) parents, was so sad. Both men missed so much in that time period. But I loved that they understood what they loss and made sure that they made every moment count from then on in.

I am really looking forward to more in this new spin-off series. I want to watch each of those fierce alphas and those sweet omegas get their well deserved HEA’s. Great series introduction that left me wanting more!
