I may have recently discovered there’s an entire universe out there, but right now, nothing exists but Tavryn.
Banjo
There’s nothing like winning a singing competition and making your life-long dream come true… and then finding out you’ve been drafted for the Human Relocation Program.
My family needs that prize money. All I have to do is make it back to Earth and record an album in one year. That’s my focus. Getting home. I can’t let myself be distracted by anything else. At least until a smoking hot alien saves me from certain death. He promises me he’ll take me home—for a price—but what if I don’t want to go home anymore?
Tavryn
Everything was going fine until I rescued this ridiculous human from a planet where he was abandoned to be some creature’s lunch. No doubt it’s because he never shuts up.
I make a living kidnapping humans and taking them home, but Banjo can’t cover my fee. Instead of selling him off to the highest bidder, I decide to be merciful and let him help me find my current client, his former roommate.
As soon as I have them in my possession, I’ll return them to Earth and never look back. Except… Banjo is more charming and attractive than any human has a right to be, and he makes such a pretty pet. Too bad he’d never want to give up his life on Earth for someone like me.
Hop on and join the ride filled with MM romance, a cranky, black cat alien, a sunny, himbo human, a sassy computer, burning hot spice, and plenty of space shenanigans. This book contains adult content suited for mature audiences only.
REVIEW:
I have to admit, this book turned out to be much better than I expected.
Banjo is about the sweetest human who ever lived. He’s definitely a guy who has reason to be disappointed in life, but he seems to see the good in everything and everyone. He’s innocent and adorable and more open minded than anyone who’s lived his kind of life has a right to be.
Tavryn? He’s the jaded one…or tries to be. He’s determined to keep living life on his own terms and to never let himself feel any kind of connection to anyone ever again. But dammit, Banjo is just so cute and hot and sweet and impossible to resist.
These two men were definitely meant to be. Banjo wears his heart on his sleeve, and he can’t even begin to pretend that Tavryn doesn’t interest him. And Tavryn is the opposite…or tries to be. But Banjo and his honesty, kindness and innocence are just too hard to resist. In a lot of ways, they both save each other.
I was expecting this book to be a little cornier, but it’s honestly one of the cutest things I’ve read in a while. And very heart-felt. There’s just no way to not cheer for these two to get together. Both are far better men than they give themselves credit for and they both deserve nice things.
The author has a sense of humor I can really appreciate. I laughed a lot while reading this and I’m sure the people watching me read it on the bus must have thought I was a little crazy, but I couldn’t help it. The author has written characters that are interesting and compelling and constructed a universe that would not be out of place in some of my favorite sci-fi movies. And Stells is a heck of a character as well and I can’t wait for you to meet her!
If thrilling action, awesome character’s and an interesting, fun journey through space is your idea of a good time, then this story is definitely for you.
