BLURB:

After decades of sold-out stadiums and never-ending tours, coming home to run my family’s Vermont dairy farm was supposed to be peaceful. Instead, I’m being terrorized by my devastatingly attractive neighbor who’s apparently declared war on me—one “gift” at a time.

A goat that won’t leave my side. A rooster with a Napoleon complex. A hive of bees with serious attitude problems. The boy I remember as my best friend’s sweet little brother has grown into a man with a serious grudge and zero intention of making my homecoming easy.

When a crisis threatens our small town’s Christmas celebrations, we’re forced to work together. Fighting our attraction while saving the holidays should be simple, right?

Too bad Taylen James has always been my greatest weakness.

Frost and Fire is a brother’s best friend, enemies-to-lovers Christmas romance with an age gap, small-town charm, and enough sexual tension to melt Vermont snow.

REVIEW:

This was absolutely a wonderful holiday read! Just what the doctor ordered as they would say.

If you are in the mood for a wonderful holiday/Christmas story where the holiday doesn’t take over the whole story but is definitely present in the storyline, this is your book!

The story starts when Bastian decides that 25 years of touring with the Hall of Fame band is enough. It is time to go back home and settle on his family’s farm permanently. His neighbor Taylen doesn’t seem to be too happy about that, despite the tension you feel between them right away and the history they share, and there are definitely some hiccups along the way.

I absolutely adored getting to know Taylen & Bastian but loved their families, blood and otherwise just as much. Bastian’s bandmates Stone, Fox and Milo are wonderful (and I really need to read Milo’s book now!) but also Niko is so interesting because it feels like there are so many stories we need to read about him.) Bastian’s family were so entertaining, and I am positive we will definitely see more of Finn.

This story tells us about a love that has been lying covered for a long time, many years with only small encounters. But also covered by grief because of things that happened in the past.

It is fascinating, funny and deeply emotional to read the journey of these two men finally finding their way towards each other.

There are many misunderstandings, misconceptions but also joy and happiness that is written in words that will keep you addicted to their story.

If I would have to give a little sidenote it would be on the fact that it took Taylen a long time to see what was already there and would be but then again in the end it was amazing to read how his wonderful brain worked it out while trying to find the faith that it could.

Miss Anna Ashley did a great job on keeping you interested and entertained, mixing emotions with humor and definitely sexual tension and even sexy times.

What’s left for me to say is that I am kind of sad that we need to wait for the second book till next year because after you read this book you just know who it will be about, and I for one cannot wait to read that one and hopefully the one after that one too!

I just wish it would have also been coming this year. I would love to spend more of my time in this town and with these people, for sure.

Definitely recommended.
