Double-booked for the Holidays is a multi-author mpreg shared setting Christmas series. The winter holidays are hard on single shifters. Instead of going home to yet another barrage of “why haven’t you found your mate yet” questions, some prefer to book lodging and ride out their depressing time off between Christmas and New Year’s.

REVIEW:

I am loving this wonderful new series.  Double-booked for the Holidays is a multi-author series that are just the perfect books to snuggle in with a hot cocoa and a warm fuzzy blanket. But this particular one really touched me. Be sure to read the note at the end.

Kyron Cinders just wants some peace and quiet for the holidays. He loves his family but they can be a little much on even the best of days. But his Mom wants him to settle down, find a loving omega and move back home to the family compound and start spitting out dragonets. And that’s just not happening. That is until the crazy happens and he’s suddenly double-booked in his rental with the gorgeous young man that he saw in town. His Princess that his dragon immediately recognizes as his fated mate. The one that Goddess picked out specifically for him. Now, if he can just finally get the beautiful young omega to stop fainting!

When you think of the phrase poor little rich boy Juni jumps right to your mind. His money-hungry mother had  just use for her only son. Mate him with the richest man she can pawn him off on for the biggest price. She and his father literally loaded him up and put him in a condo to live so he didn’t interfere with their lives as soon as he reached eighteen. Yes, he was quite wealthy in his own right being a trust-fund baby, so he didn’t need the money they they used to rid themselves of him in their lives. But Juni never had a ounce of love in his life. People just used him for his money. Thankfully Kyron and his family rectified that. They welcomed him with open arms into their family and hearts. And he swallowed it up at every moment. Felicia filled the void that he never had with his own mother. And Azure became his best friend without any monetary expectations. . She didn’t want to befriend him for his money. She just wanted/needed a best friend as much as Juni did. But it was the total and complete love of of his Ky that filled his heart. Kyron would do anything for his beautiful and loving Princess to be happy and for Juni to know that he was unconditionally loved forever.

NOTE: Some times a book just hits you and gives you a much needed glimmer of hope. Hope that you think has long passed you by. This book did that. Little things like this line gave me that:

“For so long I was lost and no one cared to find me. Then along came a grumpy dragon who made everything right and showed me that I mattered.”

Everyone needs something to believe in. A hope that someday, hopefully sooner vs later, things will get better. This book did that for me. I didn’t want to bury these thoughts in this review. But if you are someone that needs to read that there are still good people out there that care. That found family can be better for you or safer or healthier…then I hope that this book gives you that hope like it did me.
