Pax
I just want to survive my Heat in peace, so I book a secluded cabin for the holidays. But when I’m ready to pass out after a long trip, I find something already in bed. Under the covers. My first thought? Giant friggin’ rat.
It turns out the rat is actually an Alpha mink shifter, and he’s very flirty. When I explain why I’m here and not with family during this holiday season, he offers to help me through my Heat. He says it’ll be casual, no strings. But the more time we spend together, the harder it is not to get attached.
Aaron
I didn’t expect to meet an Omega on vacation. I had plans to design my next line of stuffed toys, but he’s too distracting. His Heat’s getting the best of him, and I offer to help since I can’t knock up a human. Unfortunately (or fortunately) Pax is my fated mate, which makes things complicated. What starts as a simple arrangement becomes more than either of us bargained for.
Mink Hijinks is part of Double-booked for the Holidays, a multi-author mpreg shared setting at Christmas series with sexy shifters and forced proximity. Each book can be read as a standalone, but why not read them all?
Double-booked for the Holidays is a multi-author mpreg shared setting Christmas series. The winter holidays are hard on single shifters. Instead of going home to yet another barrage of “why haven’t you found your mate yet” questions, some prefer to book lodging and ride out their depressing time off between Christmas and New Year’s.
Except this year, their cabins are double-booked with unsuspecting humans.
REVIEW:
Oh how I am enjoying these visits to Winter Wonderland Wilderness Lodge and the matings that are happening between shifters and humans because of Branson’s little booking mix-up.
Pax just wants to be left alone to endure his heat. Unfortunately he is alone and his lack of trust of Alphas, baring his love for his bestie – Buckle, means going it alone again. He is not your stereotypical omega in either frame nor attitude. Heck, he’s a mechanic by trade so definitely not typical omega by any stretch of the word. When his old man left his family years ago when Pax was only eight, his last words were “You’re the man of the house and you need to take care of your mother and sisters.” And he has taken on that task every since. But when his booking at the quaint cabin comes with something moving in his bed he’s not above shouting for Branson to come get the rat out of his bed so he can start weathering his heat.
Aaron is so tired of his well-meaning family pestering him to settle down. He has a very successful stuffed toy business and his own beautiful home that screams “Aaron” from the top of his orange ceiling to the bottom of his lime green fuzzy carpet. When the Lodge accidentally books a human omega, who is obviously in heat, he does the honorable thing and agrees that they can coexist the few days Pax needs. He even offers his alpha services if needed. But the moment that they touch each other one thing is sparklingly obvious…they are mates!
I am loving this sweet series. I love that the alphas and omegas are who they are. Designations seem to run out the door allowing each man to be who they are not what’s expected of their designation. I also love that the humans have absolutely no idea that there are shifters in the world and they have been living with them for years in their human form. But the omegas have taken to this knowledge easily and open their hearts in indifference to their new found knowledge.
I loved that the twin nibblings attached themselves like a mink collars around the two men’s necks when they arrived at the family estate. And that the family opened their arms to Aaron’s new mate regardless of him being human and a much lower socio-economic status. Pax is Aaron’s mate and now he is family! And Pax’s fears were all for naught when his sisters and mom discovered who his mate is.
I am really hoping that we get Buckle’s HEA too. I know he thought Pax was his mate. And I loved that he and Aaron but got along. That could have been a problem. But that’s not who the sweet chipmunk shifter was. He loved Pax for sure and wanted him happy. But he now needs his own story too.
Each of these books can easily be a standalone novel but do yourself a favor and snuggle in with a nice cup of hot cocoa and enjoy the ride with them all.
