BLURB:

Chase Adler goes with the flow. An only child of disinterested parents and the only beta in his friend group, he’s used to not making waves. Which is fine by Chase—he’ll leave the drama to his alpha besties. But when a missed exam leads to Chase getting up close and personal with his alpha professor’s pheromones, Chase can’t help fixating on the imposing man. Then fixation leads to contact, and contact leads to Chase in Professor Burke’s bed.

So much for not making waves.

Professor Killian Burke doesn’t fraternize with students. Terrify them? Occasionally. Overpower them with his pheromones? Often. But he doesn’t cross the line, and he’s never been tempted to do so. But when a certain polite, pretty beta starts following Killian with his gaze—and then following Killian to his favorite bar—Killian’s self-control is tested for the first time. Chase Adler is beautiful and obedient and has a mouth made for filthy daydreams.

What else is Killian to do besides put him on his knees?

HOT FOR TEACHER IS A STUDENT X PROFESSOR CONTEMPORARY OMEGAVERSE WITH NO MPREG. IT FEATURES LIGHT BDSM ELEMENTS, A STUDENT FALLING FIRST AND A PROFESSOR FALLING HARDER, FEELINGS SNEAKING IN WHEN THEY’RE DEFINITELY NOT SUPPOSED TO, AND SUPPORTIVE ALPHA BESTIES ON BOTH SIDES. EACH BOOK IN THE SERIES CAN BE READ AS A STANDALONE.

REVIEW:

I fell hard for this series on the first book and this second one in this wonderful series definitely did not disappoint.

Chase is one of Noah’s roommates. Actually Chase’s parents bought and own the house that Chase, a beta, lives with his two Alpha best friends, Spencer and Noah, while attending college in Phoenix. That’s about as much “caring” that he ever gets from his parents. Chase knows his place. Be polite and behave. Don’t do anything to tarnish his parent’s reputations, especial with their colleagues. So when Chase develops a bit of a crush on his stoic teacher and then stalks him to the professor’s favorite bar he’s is in for a shock that he never saw coming. But welcomes openly. Even though he knows it will lead to nothing because Chase knows to never expect anyone to care about him!

I loved that it was the big, strong alpha that became so over-the-top incensed with his beta. Chase neither recognized it nor would ever take advantage of that knowledge. It’s not who he is. He simply did not have the self-confidence to realize that Killian not only desired him but had fallen deeply in love with his beta. And Chase is Killian’s whether he realized it or not. Chase had simply never experienced that kind of love and devotion in his his short life. Chase’s parents are the type that produced an obedient heir for others to raise while they experienced the pluses of their social status. I was so thankful that he finally got that kind of love that everyone should experience.

I loved that Chase’s parents were no match to Killian. They could threaten all they wanted but Killian was there to make sure Chase would be well taken care of with or without their support. And he could afford to back that up. He was very successful in his own right.  One of the most gratifying scenes was the last time that Killian spoke to them. His Alpha Dom personality rang out loud and clear to what Killian’s expectations of them were. Touché Killian 🎉

I loved that Killian always referenced Chase’s buddies/roomies as baby alphas! Even though he has come to realize that one of them is his fellow professor’s mate and alpha. But I think that was his coping mechanism to stand their scent all over his boy. And then he realized how much they understood Chase’s situation and loved their friend.

I was worried, at the first of the book, that this was going to be a BDSM book and big in the club scene that Killian belonged to. Thankfully that was not the case. Yes, Killian liked to be in control. And aftercare is a huge part of his needs. But it was more about forced orgasms and orgasm control. There is one spanking scene but that’s the extent of impact play and that was a punishment.

I am truly enjoying this new series and can’t wait for Spencer’s book next. And it appears to be one of my favorite tropes…polyamorous!
