The uprising has begun…
As a pirate, I usually cheer from the sidelines—with me popcorn—and enjoy the carnage. But this time, it’s personal. They’re after dino shifters, and I have to stop them.
Getting captured and strung up from the ceiling of an abandoned auto shop, unable to shift into my dino form, isn’t part of my plan.
Neither is coming face to face with me ex. Er…exes.
Jatel is a gentle giant who hates fighting, except apparently with me. He’s never forgiven me for our past, and yet, when pushed, he pretends we’re together to save my life.
Rad is a gorgeous, sparkly ninja. We hooked up months ago. Then I ghosted him. And for some reason, the guy’s still salty.
Having my exes fight over me would be invigorating…but there’s no fighting. Just a lot of complaining about me, secret keeping, and making out…with each other. And all while we’re scouring New Orleans for lost relics while trying to stay one step ahead of the enemy.
I’ve sworn to never again commit to one person, but what about two?
The Lost Relics is the third and final book in the Dino Uprising series. It’s best if read after the first two. It features a four-foot snarky pirate, a gentle giant, a sparkly ninja, and found family—all dino shifters. And it includes a poly relationship that consists of two Daddies and their boy.
REVIEW:
Disclaimer: This is the third and final book in this series. As such, you need to read the first two books in the series. Trust me on this… You will be lost if you don’t. Each story does focus on a different couple or throple in this case. Shhhh I secretly just love Poly stories…
The world building just gets better and better in this story. We’ve spanned the country with each book, and we are returning to New Orleans in this final book. Which I have never been to but would love to visit.
The character development continues to be wonderful. In this story we have three main characters, which might be tricky for some, but DK has done her due diligence and none of the characters take a back seat to any of the others. Our three guys ( 2 Daddies & their Boy) find equal time throughout the book, for each’s perspective, but also come together spectacularly when they are in the same scenes. There is also some character redemption for one of our main guys. But DK doesn’t skimp on her side characters either. Each one is well developed, whether they are a baddie or one of the good ones.
I have to make a brief point about the amount of detail in this book and the sheer volume of research that must’ve been done to bring this book and series to life. I actually had to look up some of the dinosaurs mentioned because I had never heard of them but recognized them once I saw what they looked like. I’m geek, what can I say. This story really incorporated the history of native legends and how they play into today’s society, as well. This story also incorporated one of my favorite tropes – found family. This story blended everything seamlessly and kept me hooked so much so I didn’t want to put this one down. And least I forget to mention it, the sexy times were pretty hot. The dialogue and action were sassy and intense.
I can’t recommend this book and series enough. So much so that you need to drop what you’re doing and run to your favorite eBook purchasing site and grab this book or the whole series, if you haven’t started this one. I am sad that this is the last book in the series, but it was a wonderful series.
Till next time…
