Disclaimer: This is the third book in the Restitution series, and you must read the first two books. I thought the second book in this series was my favorite, but boy was I wrong. This one is my favorite book of all of BH Lynn’s books to date.
What can I say, the world building is once again detailed and brilliant. Caleb and Adam are not only fighting for their relationship, but the very soul of the town. With each new page more details about our leading men are revealed. Caleb and Adam are masterfully crafted to reveal details of their previous lives at the most pertinent times, And the side characters, let me tell you, I thought about getting the Jimmy Choo stiletto back out for several of the side pieces in this story. Will the drama behind the latest death in Peyton be Caleb and Adam’s undoing?
The story for this third book starts off soon after the ending of the second book. Adam and Caleb have been put through the ringer and are trying to figure out how to proceed and move their relationship forward. If that isn’t enough angst for you, there is another murder mystery brewing, that could very well cost the lives of our hero’s. Once again, BH has created a murder mystery that defies the norms. She ratchets up the action in this one 10 fold, and she even had me crying in a few spots. I will let you know this one is a bit of a slow burn, as our guys work out their issues. But the sexy times are worth the wait.
Who killed Brenda? What role does this church play in Caleb’s life? Will Adam and Caleb survive with their lives and relationship intact? Will we see more of Adam and Caleb? Guess what, I’m not telling. You know what to do, so go do it. 😊
I highly recommend this story and series. Do yourself a huge favor and run – don’t walk to your favorite eBook purchasing site and grab this one up as quickly as you can. You won’t regret it.
I just want to give a shout out to BH Lynn, if you have followed my reviews of her books, you will see that she has come a long way in her writing. I can’t wait to see what else she has instore for us. I hope we get to revisit Adam and Caleb soon. Keep up the great work BH. 😊
