BLURB:

Breaking down in front of a repair shop wasn’t what I needed. Neither was falling for the broody mechanic under the hood.

Casey
Football is my future—my escape, my identity.
But when my Beamer craps out in a sketchy part of town, I meet Ryker Hart, the grumpy mechanic who calls me a pretty boy and still makes my stomach flip.
Fixing my car turns into coaching his brother, crashing dinners, and falling harder than I should.
He’s rough around the edges and hiding his pain.
But when he lets me in, I want everything.
Even if that means risking my career before the draft.

Ryker
I don’t have time for cocky quarterbacks with BMWs and perfect smiles.
I’m busy keeping my shop running and my kid brother on track after our mom landed in prison.
But Casey Carter crashes into my life like he owns it, and somehow ends up coaching my brother, eating dinner with us, and making me laugh like no one ever has.
He shouldn’t want a guy like me.
And I definitely shouldn’t be dreaming of a future with him.

Quarterback Drill is book 2 of Desert Football and features a sunshiny quarterback, a grumpy mechanic, secret heartaches, brotherly bonds, emotional healing, and a swoony attraction that turns explosive. Expect dirty talk, dirty hands, and a love that refuses to stall out.

Buy now and fall for the boys who fix more than just engines.

REVIEW:

If there was anyone that could tame the one-and-done hook-up king it was Ryker. He had Casey’s number right from the start. But then Casey switched up the plays and soon both of their hearts were taken forever!

Casey, the openly out and proud gay star Quarterback for ASU, is not happy. His precious baby, his BMW 430i, decided that right now was the perfect time to flash “check engine light” and go into “limp mode”! And in the not so best area of Mesa. Thankfully there’s an auto repair shop right across the street and the guy says he’s a certified BMW mechanic that’s now opened his own shop. A drop dead gorgeous mechanic that is ringing all his bells. When Casey’s charm doesn’t work, another action play needs to be ran. And the bonus is that Ryker’s little brother Wes is not only a HUGE fan of Casey’s BUT  wants Casey to be dating Ryker…win/win. But can Ryker learn to let down his guard and open his heart to the Golden Boy Football star???

I would have never thought that Casey could be so easily tamed. The one-and-done/golden party boy seemed unstoppable. But the chemistry was too hot to handle and he and Ryker were the perfect match. I think even Casey’s parents were shocked at the sudden turn around in their son. I know the guys at the Desert Dog house were for sure. But they recognized, super fast, that Casey and Ryker were the real deal and opened their arms to Ryker. He became part of their found family. A family that supports and protects each other.

I loved that Casey just wanted Ryker to experience the good life with him. He was all-in and needed Ryker to be with him. Casey knew Ryker had never had the opportunities that he was born into. So it was important to share these first with his lover/boyfriend. He also knew that Ryker was a hard worker and loyal to his family. And he knew Ryker wasn’t looking for a sugar daddy. He made sure he paid his way in life.

Also, those two were also extremely well suited for each other in the bedroom as well. I loved that they were each willing to examine and try some of the kinkier fun times as well as loving moments. Expect lots of toys and dirty talk. Something that surprised me.

I love that this new spin-off series is doing it for me. First we had the Rockers.  And wasn’t it a treat to have Gabe all grown up helping Ryker’s Mom? And then we had the amazing ASU hockey team. And now we are meeting the ASU Football stars! I can wait for Eli’s story next. The psychology major that volunteers for the queer hotline at ASU is destine to meet his match in what sounds like an awesome second chance story.
