BLURB:

I came to Legacy, Montana, to sell a fantasy—twelve Insta-ready #Holidates of Christmas. One career-making brand deal. Zero drama.

Then my videographer bailed, and in walked Maddox Sullivan.

Grumpy. Gorgeous. Growly. A mountain man with zero chill and even less tolerance for influencers like me. He agrees to film my content—off-camera only—but when my first date cancels, guess who ends up in front of the lens?

Cue the fireworks.

Our chemistry is instant. My followers are obsessed. #TeamMaddrian starts trending. Suddenly, all my dates are mysteriously dropping out, and Maddox is reluctantly starring in every single holidate—sleigh rides, snowball fights, cocoa by the fire, kisses under the mistletoe.

And I… I’m starting to forget this was ever supposed to be pretend.

Because every time Maddox looks at me, I feel something real. Something lasting. Something terrifying.

I came here for curated content. Now I’m dreaming of a life I never thought I wanted—with a man I never saw coming.

But am I falling for the picture-perfect holiday fantasy? Or could this be the start of my real-life happily ever after?

REVIEW:

Wonderful holiday romance set in the beautiful town of Legacy, Montana, where love sweeps you off your feet when you least expect it.

Adrian Hayes is an influencer, he has thousands of followers who adore him and his contents, he travels, stays in luxury hotels and he seems to live the best life. He’s not a fake person, though, he’s not arrogant or entitled, he’s genuine and honest, that’s why his posts attract so many people.

He got a deal with a company that produces winter clothing and he goes to Legacy where he wants to film his new contents.

Maddox Sullivan is a Legacy born and bred man, he’s been managing his family’s hardware shop since his parents unexpectedly passed away, and he takes care of his 17 years old sister. During the last years, Maddox’s life has been focused solely on his duties, with no time for fun or love; he’s overwhelmed by responsibilities and worries and he put aside his passion for photography, taking just the occasional jobs.

When Adrian arrives into town and looks at Maddox’s pictures, he asks him to be his photographer for his project “Twelve Dates for Christmas”.

The two of them couldn’t be more different: one from a big city, used to a luxurious lifestyle, always travelling, the other one from a small town, worrying about bills and college fund, never travelling anywhere.

The only thing that seems they have in common is the strong attraction they feel for each other.

I really loved the development of this story: despite being an influencer and “adjusting” the reality around him, Adrian is really a down to earth guy and while he manufactures the reality a bit, like Maddox constantly reminds him, he never lies. Maddox is grumpy and closed off (and quite judgemental, according to Adrian), but he’s caring and attentive too. Their banter is witty, but never hurtful.

I adored how they changed their minds about each other: after all the time they spent together, Maddox saw the real Adrian and his pain hidden behind his contents, and Adrian helped Maddox with taking back his passion and made a couple of little things that improved the shop business.

The physical scenes are wonderfully emotional, there was nothing fake or staged between them, only unadulterated feelings.

Moreover, I think this was the first time when I didn’t mind people meddling and gossiping about the MCs’ love life, I actually loved how they all “conspired” to create the chances for them to be on their dates.

Lastly, the use of hashtags at the end of every chapter was brilliant.

In this book there are plenty of scenes with Alex and Kincaid and I’m craving their story so much (Burning for Alexander), November can’t come soon enough!
