REVIEW:
Well, we’re back in Secret Springs and another omega that needs help has arrived in town…pregnant and dumped by his miserable excuse for an ex-alpha.
Nathan just had to get out of Denver! His ex accused him of getting pregnant on purpose to trap him. So he called his good buddy Saul. Saul understood what he was going though and told him to get to Secret Springs so he and his friends could help Nathan out. Now he’s set up in “the omega suite” above Lukas’s tattoo shop and art gallery. They even helped him get a job with Ed at the Sundrop Natural Grocers nearby his apartment. If it wasn’t for making all those tuna salad sandwiches in the deli, it would be a great job. But fish was definitely a no-go for him still at 4 months along. When ex-pro snowboarder sensation Zion McKellan, decides to move to Secret Springs, at the advice of his business partner Kaleb Raleigh to set up his new outdoor business, the very first person he meets in town is the cute omega in the deli. The obviously pregnant omega that has turned green at the smell of the tuna salad he’s whipping up. When he discovers that Nathan is very much single, Zion invites Nathan to dinner at Fuel, Chase’s Pop-up gourmet restaurant that King is now the executive chef. When one date leads to three and then six, Nathan worries that Zion hasn’t kissed him and takes matters into his own hands. At least he won’t wind up preggers, like all his omega friends did when they met their alphas (what is in the water in Secret Springs anyway???), because he’s already knocked up. But Zion could care less that he’s pregnant. He has fallen hook, line and sinker for Nathan and his daughter-to-be.
These are both really new characters we are being introduced to but they both have ties to the community. Nathan was a buddy and helping friend to Saul when Saul was back in Denver along with his son. They both waited tables together. And he knew that Saul knew what is was like to be abandoned and threatened by an Alpha who didn’t deserve their time of day. At least Nathan hadn’t been date-raped after being slipped a mickey. And Zion followed Kaleb, his business partner’s advice and moved to Secret Springs after that last crash ending his pro snowboarding career. His goal of setting up new business in Secret Springs was becoming a reality after purchasing the Stone House/old mill.
I loved that Zion saw Nathan and the pregnancy by another alpha didn’t phase him. He found his omega and made Nathan and Rachel his!
Their wedding, up at Kaleb and Charlie’s restored mansion, will be memorable at least. Nothing like a big splash to excite wedding guest, both dear friends and family.
And I loved the part where they rescued Torah. That sweet pup was just what they needed. I wonder where she came from but am thankful that Nathan spotted her and Zion rescued that sweet girl. She is the perfect addition to their growing family.
I am patiently awaiting the next book in this series. I have heard that we will get Devon’s story sometime soon. 🤞
