Holy Freaking amazeballs… this book is spectacular- hooked me right in, could not put it down, read it every free minute.
I am as always awed by Bree Wiley’s ability to stretch across tropes and sub genres and this horror dystopian romance is utterly addictive.
The world building smooth, flawless, entrancing, the world is unrecognisable and humanity has caved to it’s basest form.
Charon is so unbelievably sweet, a soft marshmallow in a world that is honestly all edges.
Hector is one of the most resilient single minded characters I’ve read and he is a miracle
The life and death nature of the world allows for a perfect high intensity connection to develop – these two bond quick and strong. But Zone T is a dark place and Hector has his quest and he will not be deterred. The dystopian world comes with a warped heirarchy, unbelievably horrific acts if inhumanity and plot twists that make your heart ache and also howl for vengence!
I’m glad Jonas got what’s coming to him and keeping in theme with the sweetness I came to expect these two had a hard won HEA which was truly quite lovely.
Also I have to say I loved Nyx!
If you like a gory, dystopian horror romance which characters you will adore , tons of action, comeuppance , surprising sweetness, wonderful world building and unpredictable plot twists, definitely give this one a go.
