Oh my goshhhhh, I adore the brats and Doms Cara Dee writes, specially the cute brats .. and the daddy doms.. fine I said it again but it bears repeating! These stories are turning into an another favourite series by my favourite author and I am GIDDY! While the Game Series and The Cammasia Cove series and the Auctioned series and the This life … well fine all the series are phenomenal this one The HillCroft series is all that with a tonne of paramilitary edgyness added to boot.
This one has such delicious flavours, age gap (over 18 years)… sibling adjacent relationship… so so so much pining, yummy forced proximity.. smidge of danger.. bit of regression to a middle.. loads of K1nk and epic dirty talk… and bratty brat at the center of it all with his long time till now unrequited crush (maybe more) on his Daddy Dom.
Kayden and Wade.. sigh so much freaking chemistry I could not stand it.. jumping off the pages literally. that first kiss singed my kindle and I have the burn marks to prove it.
Kayden has been kidnapped under the guise of a boys weekend, which is under the other guise of an intervention which is all to protect him from imminent danger from some factions that are after Chris. While Chris takes care of that Wade has time with Kayden in a remote cabin (cabin with the bare minimum necessities except the awesome doggos) to help him out of the burden of insecurities that has him running away from his family. Things shift for Wade, Kayden seems to be pushing allllll of his buttons and it’s a futile exercise in restraint. Restrain him. Self however he does until Kayden the genius with the most epic speech puts him right in his place. After a mull all bets are off. That ending, low angst high feels, wriggle inducing gloriousness!! I absolutely loved it
You have got to read this book, this series, this author, I could not put it down, all the stars.
