BLURB:

Tattoo artist Lukas lands in Secret Springs looking for a fresh start, a place to open a shop of his own and build a steady clientele. What he doesn’t expect is to meet sweet and surprisingly spicy local librarian Tim and immediately fall for the amazing man right off the bat. Secret Springs native Tim thinks he’s pretty boring. He’s a librarian with cats and a Craftsman style bungalow in a small town, after all. But he has a few deeper desires, and Lucas brings out all of them. The two of them find they have a lot in common, a lot of chemistry, and a lot of the same wants and needs. But Tim has made some enemies in town politics, and a bunch of folks don’t want Lukas coming to town and changing things, bringing his friends with him. Can Lukas and Tim navigate family, small town politics, and possibly a pregnancy for Tim without losing everything the hold dear?

REVIEW:

Wow! A whole series for me to read straight through and review. What a special treat that is! And from this first book, I can tell we are in for quite the ride with these Omegas, their dear friends and family, and their fierce and protective Alphas who would do anything to love and protect their sweet and wonderful omega mates.

Geeky Head Librarian and cat daddy Tim Clinton lives a quiet life back in his home town of Secret Springs, Colorado. He has his friends and comforts to his predictable and routine life. Friday night is always his meatball sub and half and half salad at David’s pizza night. It is followed up with tiramisu at Mateo and Dayne’s bakery. He might have to fight against his boss, Frank White and the White family, but he holds strong for what’s right for their small town. When a big black El Camino pulls up across the street from the library, in front of the Merchante building, and a burly and tatted up, purple haired Alpha gets out, life for Tim is suddenly going to change forever! Lucas Lyons believes he has finally found the right place to open his dream Pens and Needles, a tattoo shop and art gallery for his work. After buying the entire building, at his best friend Chase’s urging, Lucas is ready to start on his dreams. A place for his work, an apartment to live in and one to rent out, and store front space to hopefully get Chase to follow his dreams and move there too. But his sight’s refocused immediately on the cute librarian that helps him with WiFi. A chance meetup at David’s changes their lives forever.

I loved this introduction to Secret Springs. This first book focuses both on Tim and Lucas and their coupling. In addition it serves as an introduction to the key players in this series. Plus lets us in on who is the bad guys and why they need to be removed from the town.

I loved how Tim and Lucas immediately were on the same page. Their chemistry was crackling of the pages it was so strong. And they adored each other. Lucas stands strong as the bad-ass protective alpha. And Tim shows he’s not some omega weakling that bows down to pressure that is uncalled for. And I love how the whole town (well the good part at least) supported them and their coupling.

I am looking forward to the next book and hope we get justice against The White’s and their tyranny.
