It was never going to be just one night. Not when it burned this hot.

Firefighter Reece Morgan is the station flirt. Tattooed, reckless, and always up for a laugh or a hook-up. He’s made a name for himself across Worthbridge, and he’s fine with that. No strings. No drama. No need for more.

Until one heated night in a sauna changes everything.

Trent Lawson thought it would be just sex. One night to forget, to shut off the noise inside his head. But the fire Reece ignites won’t stop burning. Not in his skin. Not in his chest. Not when every emergency throws them back together, stoking something far deeper, and far more dangerous.

Reece isn’t used to caring. Not really. But Trent isn’t just another fling. Behind his sharp tongue and cool control, Reece sees the exhaustion, the cracks, the way Trent’s numbing himself with all the wrong things. And for once, Reece doesn’t want to walk away. He wants to fight. For Trent. For every kiss denied and every glance that means too much.

But when the flames turn deadly and the danger hits close to home, Trent must face the past he’s been running from and decide if Reece is the one thing worth stepping into the fire for.

Because in Worthbridge, sparks are flying.

And some flames are worth the fight.

Worth the Fight is the second book in the Worth It series, a gritty MM romance series set in a small coastal town featuring first responders entangled in a criminal case that threatens the community they serve and the people they love.

REVIEW:

I am utterly and completely blown away!! I loved book 1 so I had high expectations and this one just blew then out of the water. The angst, the pining, the chemistry, the heat, the love, the found family the ugh everything .. this book, please bear with me this might be a rambling review.

Ok so this is Reece and Trents story, we met them in book 1, they are like magnets, Reece is nothing like I expected, what a marshmallow and what a huge heart and what a dominant filthy mouth. Trent, Trent hasn’t healed. He got hurt traumatised the world snatched out from under him my heart hurt for him. They neeeeeed each other, but Trent has mega walls and bad coping mechanisms (this book has sensitive subjects like trauma, death, addiction rep so please be careful). Reece knows how to scale them. While there is a blip of a misunderstanding it is not the centre.

The underlying Radley crime underbelly arc continues, we are introduced to a whole host of new characters- I need stories for all of them, please. I am most intrigued by Ethan and by Dev. We see a lot of Freddie and Nathan and even Alfie and Jude towards the end

Oh my his, the end, the end is spectacular, I was on the edge of my seat, heart racing palms sweating, gosh, I almost didn’t make it.

I loved the neurodivergence rep and the small town vibes.

This story is something very special, these two are swoon and heat epitomised and I highly recommend reading this.

I’m ready for book 3 😁

It’s infinity stars for me
