Strawberry Moon is the story of clem, a sparkly enthusiastic twink , and Harry the owner of the bookstore where Clem works and the object of Clems complete infatuation and crush.
Clem worked at the bookstore before Harry bought it and had plans to leave there up on the sale and go work elsewhere. One look and Clem changed his plans.
So now he’s working at the bookstore and watching Harry go through an array of horrendous boyfriends. The book actually starts with a breakup of the current horrible boyfriend, James , who cheated on Harry and is trying to Gaslight him but it’s Harry’s fault. As Clem is eavesdropping he is joined by his granddad , who let’s just put it out there is an amazing character.
Knowing how Clem feels about Harry , Grandad comes up with a plan. Harry needs a date to a family event and Granddad offers up clem. Everyone needs a Granddad in their lives, because he is seriously the best wingman and all around great person.
Harry does accept the offer and Clem and Harry had to Harry’s parents. Harry also has an amazing grandfather, which explains why he is so chill about Clem’s granddad. Harry’s parents are also wonderful.
We got to see the evolution harry and Clem as they may be moved from employer and employee tomorrow People they’re smart, sparkly sweaters, and just all around happiness. This book was previously part of Lily Morton’s newsletter and it has an added epilogue that I absolutely loved.
