He’s my brother’s best friend. I’m the annoying kid who followed him everywhere.
Now we’re playing for the same team.
Sev Delorean is an NHL D-man with an excess of swagger and stickhandling techniques that made him world famous. He’s the bane of my existence and my reason for living.
He’s strictly off limits though. My brother has made that perfectly clear.
I can’t have him, but I can obsess over him.

REVIEW:
Third installment in the Totally Pucked series and Jesse H Reign delivered another good story.
Sev Delorean, defenseman, and Teddy O’Reilly, goalie, have been friends since Teddy was a 10 years old sweet boy who looked at his older brother Nate and his best friend Sev like they hung the moon. Teddy was elated every time they included him in their games, he was cheerful and happy to spend time with them.
Things changed in high school when Teddy was severely bullied: Nate’s intervention did not solve his problem and it was actually Sev who physically fought the bullies. That afternoon, they came out to each other, Teddy as gay, Sev as bi. The revelation made Teddy’s crush toward Sev even bigger.
Sadly, while Teddy has been in love with Sev his whole life, the object of his desire never seemed interested in him (he actually rejected him twice) and over the years their friendship turned into sarcasm, wry banter and, sometimes, enmity.
Things got worse when Sev left the Dogs to come play for the Blackeyes: working so close and sharing a locker room did not improve their relationship.
The breaking point comes when another player, clearly interested in Teddy, asks to be his new roommate: Sev, out of fear the two of them would start a sexual relationship, decides to move in with Teddy, skyrocketing their tension.
I really liked Teddy: he was determined to show Sev how good they could have been together but, at the same time, he knew when to back off and giving him peace. His seduction plan was hot but funny at the same time and seeing Sev reduced to an incoherent babbling mess was hilarious.
What prevented me from giving a higher rate:
While I understood Nate’s protectiveness towards his baby brother, I couldn’t shake a feeling of uneasiness regarding his relationship with Sev. He clearly loved him as a brother, but at the same time he didn’t seem to value him as a man, like he was damaged goods and not suitable for Teddy.
I wish Sev would have been more adamant about his feelings for Teddy and not putting his friendship with Nate always first.
Lastly, I would have loved to see Teddy’s parents reaction to see their son finally with Sev.
The epilogue was really really beautiful: I adored to see Ant, Robbie, Ben, Jeremiah and little Lucas again.
I feel like there’s still a lot to say about Nate (who’s still single at 28 years old, by the way) and I really hope the author will explore his story and give him his own HEA.
