REVIEW:
Louisa Masters has become one of my go to authors, when I need a beautifully written, low angst story. And this story is no exception. I LOVED it. This new series is another wonderful spin off from the original Hidden species series, which doesn’t mean it can’t be read as a standalone. But you really should read all the previous books in this multiverse . Many characters from these original books are mentioned in this new series.
This book does not disappoint. The world building for this series expands and enhances the worlds we have visited in prior series. As I have come to expect, Louisa is extremely thorough and consistent when adding new species into this book verse.
Character development continues to be top notch. She takes just as much care with the details of her main characters, as she does for the side characters. Jared and Radulfr are just the sweetest set of main characters. Jared is a human deeply involved in the Wiccan world. Radulfr is the King of the Elves.
Once again Louisa has created a magical world that incorporates a beautiful story with truly magical characters. So magical in fact that the community has it’s own version of a hockey league. Which the discovery of leads to most of the angst in this story. (Not a lot mind you, but just enough). What I really enjoyed was the balance Louisa maintains between humor, angst and sexy times. This book has just the right amount of each.
I stroll into the room at the community center where our weekly sessions are held and glance toward the front to say hi to whoever’s filling in for Pete tonight. They’ve all been great, and I’m glad Pete’s spending time with his newborn, but I’ll be…

…huh.
I trip over my own feet and grab the nearest table to save myself from ending up on the floor.
“Whoa! You okay, Jared?” Lynn, one of the other attendees, asks, and heat floods my cheeks.
“Yes, fine. I’m so sorry. I put my foot down wrong.” It’s partly true, but I’m not going to say the rest out loud. I’m embarrassed enough without adding, “Because I want to lick that man all over. Our teacher for today? He can teach me anything he wants.” No. Nope.
Will Radulfr and Jared get past the secrets about the Community? Will Jared and Radulfr be able to merge the human and Elven world and find true love? Who wins the Community hockey game? Is Jared accepted into Alistair’s Team Bro? Well, my darlings, I am not going to tell you. You must read this story and find out for yourself.
I truly loved this new addition to this book verse. It was wonderfully sweet story, with low angst, lots of humor and some steamy sexy times. So of course, I highly recommend this new story and series from Louisa Masters. So do yourself a favor, run to your favorite eBook purchasing site and snatch this one up. I can’t wait for the next book in this series (shhh… I hear it’s due out in November).
