BLURB:

I always knew the truth was out there… I just didn’t expect it to come storming into my office.

As an expert on Vanguard’s conspiracies, I’ve tracked every cover-up, lab experiment, and shadowy cabal lurking in the city. But nothing prepared me for Hudson—a genetically engineered super soldier working downstairs. He’s a walking weapon created by the very organization I’ve been hunting for years, but here’s the kicker: he has no idea who—or what—he really is.

For now, he hasn’t figured out my secret identity or that I can talk to machines. Meanwhile, the fax machine keeps urging me to find the mastermind pulling his strings, while the printer thinks I need to get Hudson naked… for science, obviously. The real problem? Every time he gives me that intense, smoldering look, I forget he wants me dead.

Falling for the enemy wasn’t part of the plan… but hey, no one said the truth would be easy. Or this hot.

Maybe the printer has a point.

REVIEW:

Orion: conspiracy theorist, machine whisperer, and the kind of guy whose office equipment has more romantic insight than he does. His fax machine is basically a nosy aunt, and the printer? Oh, she’s a full-blown matchmaker with a one-track mind, get Hudson naked.

Enter Hudson: the brooding, muscle-bound mystery man who works downstairs and just so happens to be a genetically engineered weapon with the emotional range of a confused golden retriever. He’s dangerous, he’s hot, and he has no idea he’s the product of the very organization Orion’s been hunting for years. So naturally, Orion’s first instinct is to flirt with him. Aggressively. While dodging death threats and decoding shady cabals.

Orion is the kind of protagonist who could flirt with danger, sass a supercomputer, and still have time to emotionally spiral over a hot guy with secrets. He’s a Technomancer, he can literally talk to machines.  Orion’s obsessed with uncovering the truth about Vanguard, the shady organization behind all the city’s weirdness.  He’s got a secret identity and a brain wired for paranoia, but instead of tin foil hats, he’s got snark, charm, and a sentient AI.  He’s witty, sarcastic, and emotionally guarded.  Until Hudson walks in and his internal monologue turns into a rom-com with explosions.  His banter with Connie (his AI assistant) is peak chaotic bestie energy.

Orion’s falling for Hudson, a genetically engineered super soldier who might be the key to everything he’s been hunting.  He’s torn between exposing the truth and protecting the guy who makes his heart short-circuit.

Hudson is the kind of character who could bench-press a conspiracy and still look confused about why everyone’s emotionally spiraling around him. He’s a genetically engineered super soldier, muscles, mystery, and a tragic lack of self-awareness but Ryder O’Malley gives him layers that go way beyond the “hot guy with secrets” trope.

Hudson was created by Vanguard, the shady organization Orion’s been hunting. He’s literally designed to be lethal, but he doesn’t know the full truth about what he is or why he was made.  Despite his origins, he’s not some cold-blooded killer. He’s emotionally raw, surprisingly gentle, and deeply loyal once he starts to trust Orion.  Hudson’s emotional range starts at “stoic” and ends at “smoldering stare that melts Orion’s brain.” But beneath that, he’s grappling with identity, autonomy, and the terrifying possibility that he’s just a tool for someone else’s agenda.  His journey is all about reclaiming his humanity and figuring out whether he can be more than what he was built to be.

His dynamic with Orion is electric. He’s drawn to Orion’s snark and brilliance, even when he doesn’t fully understand it.   Their relationship is a slow burn with high stakes, emotional vulnerability, and enough sexual tension to power a small city.

Hudson is the perfect foil to Orion’s chaotic brilliance: grounded, intense, and quietly yearning. He’s the kind of character who makes you want to wrap him in a blanket, hand him a therapy dog, and then watch him take down a corrupt organization with his bare hands.

The twists? You’ll get secret identities, psychic tech, rogue experiments, and a plot so twisty it could be used as a slinky. Just when you think you’ve got the villain pegged, the story yanks the rug out and hands you a new conspiracy theory, probably printed out by Connie, Orion’s sassier-than-thou AI assistant.

Seductive Architect is what happens when you mix superhero intrigue, office romance, and a sentient AI with boundary issues. It’s heartfelt, hilarious, and horny in all the right places. And yes, there’s an HEA because even genetically engineered weapons deserve love.
