I really needed this one! I have loved Grae Bryan’s vampires and demons but this omegaverse story was just so sweet and perfect! I couldn’t set it down 🥰
Eli Miller is finally legally divorced and rid of his cheating ex-husband Richard. He rented the cabin in Sedona for a quick getaway and to celebrate his divorce and upcoming tenure at the end of the year. He has worked so hard and deserved this break. When a voice comes up from the cabin below to say hello he suddenly has the ridiculously handsome young surfer dude in his hot tub and announcing he’s a virgin and would Eli like to remedy that situation. Noah has been called “picky” before. His roomies kid him about it and his still intact virginity. But one whiff of Eli and Noah finally understands the need they have repeatedly told him about. And he needs Eli. But, after a wonderful night exploring each other, Noah gets a 9-1-1 text to come home for an emergency. Now all he can think about is the omega he left sleeping in Sedona with a note containing his phone number. After moping around without as much as a text from Eli, he and Chase, one of his two roomies, head for their first class of his final term before graduating. Omega Studies is one of his elective for his business degree. When Noah walks into class the first thing Eli smells is his scent. Noah is his student! And he had LOTS of sex with him! He took his virginity for Christ’s sake! This was so not good at all! But Noah is ecstatic because he’s found his Eli. And he wasn’t going to let a pesky problem like Eli being his professor sidetrack who he wanted and needed like his next breath!
This was such a wonderful book. I love how Eli and Noah were almost like fated mates if this was a shifter story. But it was obvious that they were destined to be together. The always reserved and steady Eli, taking such a risk with his career so close to tenure, was completely out of character. And Noah had always been aloof with other people trying to hook up with him. He always knew that they weren’t the one. It might have been his extra-ordinary scent ability but he just knew that Eli was the right one from the very start.
I can’t wait to get more of this wonderful universe. Sounds like we get Noah’s roommate Chase’s story with the mysterious Professor Burke next. And there is promise of some slightly kinky chemistry going on there!!! Chase is a beta so that will be interesting too. Great start to another wonderful series by the amazing Grae Bryan!
