BLURB:

For years Jeremy and his best friend Haven kept their bond strong despite the bricks, bars and bulletproof glass that separated them during their weekly visit, but it hadn’t just been Haven that Jeremy had gone to the prison to see. Jeremy had been crushing on Grayson since he first laid eyes on the man, and the fire hadn’t dimmed as Grayson had served his time.

Freedom had never tasted as sweet or been so hard won. Eight years was a long stretch to serve, but seeing his best friend’s son every week and bunking with the man Jeremy loved like a brother, had given him a special insight into the man he’d become.

Now the two of them were working together in Haven’s shop as the kid he’d once protected became his boss. Grayson considered that debt paid now and all slates wiped clean. Finally able to get back on his feet and reestablish himself in the community, his next step is to lay claim to the man he loves.

REVIEW:

I love visiting Foggy Basin and have been eagerly awaiting this book every since I finished reading Twisted Chassis on my visit last year. I needed Jeremy, Haven’s best friend, story. Plus I wanted to know more about the man that Chaos, Jeremy’s dad and MC President had protecting Haven during his incarceration.

Gray was counting down the final days, nervous that something might happen to prevent his release. Watching that prison gate slowly creep open big enough for his 6’6”/280 frame to fit through was agony. He wanted his hands on his boy Jeremy and that box of chicken Chaos was holding from their local diner…in that order! His Boy! That sure had a nice ring to it now that he was free from those prison walls. And Jeremy’s bestie, Haven kept his promise from prison and has a job waiting for Gray at his garage. Life is looking good.

This was even better than I hoped. I was afraid that it was all in Jeremy’s mind that he captured Gray as his Dom and Daddy. If there was ever a boy that needed rules and parameters it’s Jeremy! And I loved how Chaos saw that his MC brother was the right man for the job. Them being close friends could have been a bit of a sticky situation. Especially with them all living in Chaos’s home. Thankfully this book was very low angst and a sweet romance between two men that were literally made for each other and finally at the maturity level to realize it. With the eleven year age-gap and Gray being incarcerated for the last 8 years, there wouldn’t have been anything seriously brewing before that.

I did like that there was a bit of intrigue to this book. The whole “was Gerald really the snitch” and was it was a inside job/set-up for Gray to take the fall for everyone was very interesting and kept me on my toes.

I also loved how Chaos had always stood up for his fidgety son and encouraged his creativity his whole life. Whether it was his unique gift of art, his fascination with the stars or his desire to race, Chaos had his back. That continued on through both Gray and Haven. Jeremy was surrounded by love and support.

I do hope that we eventually get River, Haven’s brother,  story too some day.

I love these vacations to Foggy Basin and look forward to many more trips in my future. This small town has become special to me.
