For Ash, moving to Foggy Basin was all about finding himself like his little brother Kit had.Kit and his daddy Nate owned the local pub Pints n’ Pool and were so happy. And that’s all Ash wanted—to be happy. Something he never was at the commune.
Where Kit was outgoing and ready to take on the world, Ash was the introverted one. Barely a year separated them in age but when it came to going after what they wanted Kit was lightyears ahead of Ash.
Now, it was Ash’s turn, and he hoped he’d find his way in his new town of Foggy Basin. Who knew the reserved newbie in town would attract not one, but two men.
Welcome to Foggy Basin Season Two. Just passing through? No problem. Here to stay, well, better find your place. Sit back, relax and get to know the townsfolk. They love hard and play even harder. Each book is a standalone but why not stay and get to know us and read them all.
REVIEW:
Oh how I wish Foggy Basin was a real town. I love the friendly vibe and the supportive townspeople that just fold you in like you’ve been there forever!
Ash’s decision, to stay with his younger brother Kit and Kit’s Daddy Nate after his family left at Christmas, was a wise one. He just couldn’t stay on the commune at 24 anymore. He wasn’t outgoing like Kit but Foggy Basin was an easy place to just be yourself and the townsfolk accepted you just as you are. Meeting the cute game designer Remy made that decision real. Becoming boyfriends and each experiencing their first kisses with each other was special. When they both stayed to help the newest shop owner in town, McClain on his overwhelming opening day of Foggy Creamery, they had no idea how all three lives would be changed forever!
I love that Ash and Kit are so different. Kit might be the youngest but he and his Daddy Nate keep a watchful eye on Ash. Ash is more introverted and likes to just blend in. But he is also a very hard and loyal worker. His life was just so sheltered by his parents at the commune and now everything is so new and sometimes a bit overwhelming.
I loved that the story started off with it just being Ash and Remy. These two very innocent virgins needed time to simply adjust to being with someone who didn’t rush them as they explored being a part of a relationship that wasn’t family. Enter McClain, who still heard his dead husband voice in his head, encouraging him in his new endeavor. And he needed the love of those two boys as much as they did him. They were the perfect mix to make what they had successful and forever.
I also loved that Remy and McClain didn’t push Ash when it came to being intimate. I was so sad when he thought he was broken. But McClain and Remy were extremely patient and helped him discover he wasn’t broken but might experience life and sex differently. And that it wasn’t wrong to be his way.
I could have throttled Daisy, Kit and Ash’s Mom. I know she is free-spirited and outgoing but she should know, after 24 years of raising him, that he’s nothing like Kit. And that ambush was totally wrong and unwarranted. Thankful McClain, Remy, Kit and Nate let her have it while Ash recovered from the incident. I know she was sorry but still…know you kids and treat them right. Especially your Adult children. You respect their individuality and their personality.
And Merle! Not only do I love the banter between him and Nate. But watching this other side emerge with McClain and then Remy and Ash too. I loved it. 🥰 I think he has become my favorite townsperson.
I love Foggy Basin and I’m so thankful that we got another return visit. Now I’m off to see how everyone else is doing there in this fabulous series.
