Rowan Stratton’s best friend means well when she sends him on a luxury vacation across the world. But Rowan has secrets that are harder to keep on long-distance flights and under summery clothes. It’s those same secrets which prevent him from looking for another relationship.
Resigned to feeling lonely and ashamed on a different continent, Rowan goes anyway. He’s not anticipating the comedy of errors which lands him with a hot young doctor as his roomie, and he is certainly not expecting the surprises Dr. Aaron Park has up his sleeve.
Aaron Park is a Daddy without a Boy. A man looking to enjoy himself on the vacation his (now ex) boyfriend should have joined him for. With thoughts of summer flings on his mind, he’s determined to just have fun. When fate puts a guy so seemingly perfect for him directly in his path, he has to shoot his shot, right?
But does Rowan have it in himself to trust again? To let someone truly see him, flaws and all? More importantly, can he learn to love himself?
Rowan’s Renewal is part of the DKAG Summer Shorts collection. This one is a sweet, summer vacation themed novella which features hurt/comfort themes, a Younger Daddy/Older Boy kink dynamic, a first time Boy, and ABDL themes (without much of the AB).
REVIEW:
As I get older, I find I really appreciate a younger daddy /older boy story more and more. They mean there is hope for everyone. The age difference in Rowan’s renewal is 41 years old -32 years old.
Rowan thinks he is never going to find his perfect partner in life. His professional life is going great; he is the successful editor-in-chief of a lifestyle magazine. Due to prostrate cancer as a teenager, he has been left with issues with his bladder and erectile dysfunction. Neither of which is conducive to a successful long-term relationship according to his last boyfriend Alex. Unfortunately, his best friend Bianca doesn’t know about his secret shame, otherwise she might of not bought him a non-refundable trip to a gay beach resort in Australia, where the clothing will be all shorts & swim wear.
Dr Aaron Park cannot help himself when he arrives at his holiday resort check in desk to find a very distressed slightly older gorgeous chap there, who is being told that due to a technical error he doesn’t have a room. He knows he has to help him and offers him his spare room. What else would a good Daddy do? When he accidentally finds out about Rowan’s medical issues, he knows exactly how he wants to make him feel better about them.
Well watersports is not a kink I actively seek out to read about and added a different dimension to the book for me. Did I dislike it, no not all, it actually felt really appropriate to this particular story, within this collection of books. The ones I have read so far have all been about the Daddy making the Little feel loved, cherished and better about themselves. With Rowan’s medical history and to make the book that little bit extra sweet, because the Daddy has to be the absolutely perfect one for his boy, it worked.
There are elements of age regression in here, but they are minimal. What there is lots of is a Daddy making his boy feel so much better about himself and to realise just how much he is worth.
