Sometimes the best things in life are the ones you never see coming.

Brennen Tate is the halfway decent goalie of a losing college hockey team. When he graduates in the spring, he’s heading straight to the mountains—no NHL dreams, no drama. With days full of studying and hockey and nights full of casual hookups, life is exactly how Brennen likes it…until Cooper “Ellie” Ellis upends everything.

Ellie’s a sweet, quiet guy working in the equipment room and crashing in the training room to escape his nightmare dorm. When Brennen’s roommate graduates early and moves out, he impulsively offers Ellie the extra room. No big deal, right? Just a favor.

But things take an unexpected turn when Brennen stumbles across Ellie’s little secret…which just happens to match Brennen’s deepest desires.

This Daddy-little story is full of rock collections, movie marathons, and way too many stuffies for a college apartment. Turns out, home isn’t a place—it’s a person.

Daddies of the League is a college ice hockey shared world, where you’ll find Daddies both on and off the ice. Skate into your newest obsession and grab them all.

REVIEW:

This is a very sweet Daddy/Little story about a first time Daddy and a virgin Little.

Brennen ‘Tater’ Tate is in his final year of college and it’s his final year of being the college ice hockey goalie. His roommate has had to move out mid-term and he is looking forward to having the apartment to himself as he wraps up his college degree. Brennen knows exactly want he wants career wise, to become an officer of the law in Tannenberg, where his family’s getaway cabin is.  He also knows that he is a Daddy and a caretaker when it  comes to  relationships.

Cooper Ellis, is studying information science concentrating mainly on library services. He is on a work study scheme and has been assigned to the ice hockey team. He knows nothing about ice hockey and is very much not a jock. He finds it really difficult to make connections with people despite trying really hard. When his selfish roommate kicks him out of their room yet again, Cooper has no choice but to go and sleep in the hockey rinks lounge area where Brennen finds him the next morning.

When Brennen finds Ellis or Ellie as he thinks of him on the sofa his daddy instincts kick in and there is no way he is going to let him carry on with his current living situation and he does have a spare room.

Ellie is a very sweet little that likes stuffies, snuggles, cartoons, colouring and nappies, Brennen is a very kind protective Daddy. The two of them come from very different backgrounds, which means their experience of things like money and holidays differ greatly. Instead of causing issues it means they can help each other as their relationship develops.

This book is part of the Daddies of the League series and does reference some of the other teams in it which is nice, makes the books connected.   It also feels like it could be the start of another series for Kerry Kilpatrick. Rafe and Benji need to find their Daddies too, although maybe Rafe already has!!
