It shouldn’t have been this difficult.
All Ryan wanted was to leave his ex-boyfriend at home and go to his childhood best friend’s wedding as a single man. The only problem was that apparently he was the only sane person he knew. His actor ex didn’t want their break-up on social media until it would be good PR for him. Meanwhile the bride, and childhood best friend, was so rigorously superstitious about bad omens that the wedding would have been cancelled already if someone hadn’t ‘seen’ an extra magpie at the engagement party.
So Ryan had agreed to keep the break up quiet until after the honeymoon. It did mean he had bring his ex as his plus one to the ceremony, but it would only be a few more weeks. That couldn’t hurt.
Only problem is that now Ryan has to try and stop his ex turning their break-up into a soap opera, convince the hottest man he’s ever seen that they can kiss without it being cheating…and make sure the bride didn’t find out about any of it.
Maybe he needed some of that good luck she was hoarding?

If Harry was honest, which he wasn’t always with Ceremony locals, the logic of the Fold had always escaped him. Most of the island was farmland. Perfect for livestock. Why have a field in the middle of town for someone’s cows?
The fact he was currently trying to lure a fuzzy, suspicious bullock out of a ginnel—in the rain—only made him more convinced he was right.
He clicked his tongue at the animal and waved a handful of grass at it.
“Come on,” he encouraged it. “Time for good little cows to go to bed.”
The bullock flicked a fuzzy ear at him, considered the grass, and then dropped its head to nose through the rest of Chelly Hannigan’s hanging basket. It was mostly mud now.
“Are those my begonias?” Chelly yelled as she craned her neck out of her upstairs bathroom window. Her bright red hair was wrapped in bows on top of her head, and her face was shiny with cream. “They were a Mother’s Day present! You had better replace those, Harry Brown!”
“They aren’t my cows!” Harry snapped back at her.
That wasn’t like him. Chelly looked taken aback at the hard tone in his voice and, after one last huff, disappeared back into her house.
From somewhere else along the street a question drifted his way. “If they ain’t yours, what are you doing with them?”
Harry snapped his head up and looked around at the surrounding houses. There were faces at most of the windows. A few of Vera’s neighbours had even ventured down out of the back yards in their boxers or robes, hovering in the gateways so they could make a quick escape. He couldn’t tell who’d asked the question.
“If any of you want to help,” he offered as he waved his hand at the cow. “Feel free.”
The gesture startled the bullock, who snorted and threw its head up. A few of Harry’s audience prudently slid back into the yards and closed their doors. The bullock rolled a white-rimmed eye at Harry in an unfriendly way“Shit,” he muttered and took a step back.
He bumped into someone and staggered. An arm at his back propped him up, and it took him a second to realize it was Ryan. A few of his earlier passing daydreams about the other man made Harry flush. The distraction was brief.
“Here.” Ryan shoved half a sleeve of biscuits into his hand. “They like these.”
Harry squinted in the dim light at the wrapper and then gave Ryan a dubious look. “Jammie Dodgers?” he said. “They’re cows. That can’t be good for them.”
Ryan shrugged. “They’ve never complained.”
He was the local, Harry supposed. He shook a biscuit out of the packet and tossed it underhand, like a frisbee, at the bullock. It didn’t catch it like a dog. Instead the disc bounced off the animal’s nose, making it snort irritably again, and dropped onto the ground at its feet.
Harry swore under his breath again and put out an arm to keep Ryan behind him. He didn’t suppose that would really help much if something happened, but in the moment it felt right.
Luckily the smell of the Jammie Dodger must have been strong enough to catch the bullock’s attention. It licked its nose with a long black tongue and then dropped its head to snort in among the dirt, moss, and trampled begonias for its treat.
“See?” Ryan said. “It’s their favourite.”

Simon had a plan.
He’d go to his sister’s wedding, he’d keep his head down, and the whole family would finally have something other than his disastrously brief engagement to talk about. It was going to be the fact that none of them liked his new brother-in-law, but that wasn’t Simon’s fault.
It was a simple plan that really couldn’t go wrong. Not unless Simon did something really stupid, like wake up the morning after a stag weekend with a stranger in his hotel bed and no idea who it was.
That was the sort of gossip that was hard to beat.

When Danny Shaw’s ex dumped the job of returning some…personal items…to a short list of his previous conquests on him that seemed like imposition enough. Until he opened the bag and found that the items in question could best be described as extremely intimate and disturbingly detailed.
But when life gives you a bag of hyper-realistic sex toys, modeled after penises your ex knew and admired, what else is there to do but find the biggest dick you know and ask if one of them is his?
Meanwhile, all Will wanted was a quiet night out. Not that he was going to turn down a chance to spend time with Danny, even if it did lead to some weird conversations.
