The only thing better than being a rock star with two hot guys in your bed? Having two hot guys who still want you there when the sun comes up and every sunrise after.

Being a famous rock god has its perks, like private jets, adoring fans, and never having to work hard for a hookup. But finding someone who wants me for more than my autograph or what’s in my pants? That’s about as rare as me hitting a wrong note.

When I land in Sunnyside for my first movie role, I head straight to the local bar for some liquid courage. What I find is Duke, the brooding, muscular owner, who is looking at me like I’m trouble walking in skinny jeans. And his husband Early? He’s an angelic imp with a wicked sense of humor who flirts as naturally as I breathe.

They say three’s a crowd. I say it’s just enough bodies to properly fill a king-sized bed for a night of fun. But somewhere between Duke’s heated kisses and Early feeding me homemade pastries, I realize I want more than just one wild night. I want to turn their perfect duet into a permanent trio.

Can I convince this married couple I’m ready to trade sold-out tours for breakfast in bed? Because I’m officially auditioning to be the meat in their husband sandwich, and I plan to nail the callback.

Prelude of Love is a steamy, laugh-out-loud MMM romance featuring a flirty rock star with hidden depths, a grumpy bar owner who’s secretly a softie, and a sunshine husband who loves stirring up trouble. Get ready for witty banter, unexpected feelings, and a love story that’ll have you turning pages faster than a drumroll.

This is the sixth and final book in the Harmony of Hearts series and part of the Sunnyside universe. It can be read as a standalone, but reading the series in order is the best way to maximize your enjoyment.

REVIEW:

This is the series that introduced me to Ariella Zoelle and then to her alter ego/pen name Zarina Aston. I love music and live music is my jam. So getting to go along on this ride and having it come back full circle to Iason’s college roommate’s story, the gruff and massive bartender/owner of the Hurly-burly Bar and Grille, Duke, was a treat and an excellent way to wind up their stories and this wonderful series.

Duke and his Duchess, Early have been married for 15 years. Clear back to when they first met in college and fell totally and completely in love and lust with each other they have been inseparateable. They are staples in Sunnyside, California. Duke owns and operates the Hurly-burly Bar and Grille, where they have a small stage for intimate concerts put on by locals…including the superstar Iason, his former college roommate and best friend. And Early owns and operates Brewhaha, the best coffee shop and homemade pastry place in town. They have a loving relationship, that each takes very seriously, and a very active sex life. Duke is extremely protective of his Duchess and you would be wise to respect that. But both men have enjoyed a third in their relationship from time to time in the past, a Hall Pass. But every since Bolton, their last third in their poly life had to move to Wintervale for his job, Duke has been reluctant to take on a third again. When he took interest and then he left a  hole formed in his protective heart. But Early knows that Chance Prince, the younger rock star and son of Sir Prince and his ex, Melody’s, floats his husband’s boat and would be an awesome third. Especially after they both meet and get to know the younger man. But can Duchess convince his Duke to take a Chance?

Wow, oh just wow! Ariella definitely upped her game for the finale with this series! I love poly books and this one has all the feels plus some pretty explosive sex scenes that practically melted my phone! Early and Duke are explosive on their own. However his Duchess has a very active libido and a third just enhances Early’s desires. I did love that Duke took his time and guarded both their hearts with his patience and wariness. He knew that once they had Chance it would be impossible to let him go. And he had more than enough reasons to be cautious. Chance was not only a decade and a half younger than them. But was a rock star and now hedging to be a movie star too. He has all the opportunities in the world at his feet ahead of him so why would he choose an older, established couple in a small town over all that? But Chance was persistent and soon realized that he needed them as much as they needed him. I loved how this all worked through.

If you want to read Duke and his husband of 15 years Early’s story first (I definitely recommend doing that) For a Song is a great introduction novella to their lives back in college. You even meet the much younger Iason before he became a superstar!

I’m not worried about leaving this series like I am with other author’s series. Ariella has a habit of bringing in cameo appearances, like Rook starring with Chance in this movie being filmed, so I can catch up with my favorites. I am sure that we will see Duke at some point again in Red’s spinoff book and I’m looking forward to it and catching up again.

Great ending to a wonderful series. A huge thumbs up for me 👍
