You know that story? The one about a beast imprisoning the maiden to atone for her father’s sins? This is like that… Except not.
CEO Wade Darian is beastly in attitude only. And I’m a guy, although the maiden label does fit in ways I’m not thrilled about…if you know what I mean.
Mr. Darian is my brother’s billionaire boss, and he’s trying to prove to his stockholders that diversity isn’t just a tagline.
When my brother disappears the day of the company retreat, his bossy bosshole boss insists I take my brother’s place.
And you guessed it, there’s no mansion with a beautiful library and dancing dinnerware. No, I’m stuck at a campground in southern Missouri with a survivalist overlord, snooty employees, and a token gay guy.
Me. I’m the token gay guy.
Happy Pride to me.
Did I mention I hate the outdoors? And being Wade’s assistant. The guy is seriously uptight. But the more I’m around him, the more I realize he uses bosshole to hide his pain. The real Wade is fiercely protective and surprisingly sweet.
As Wade and I get closer, camping gets easier. Everything is going well…until my brother arrives with an enraged mob to take over the camp. Okay, not a mob. One person. The person who hurt Wade the most.
Camping with the Boss is an opposites attract MM romance with a bosshole CEO, a bratty virgin, lite D/s, gay confessions around the campfire, and a killer squirrel.
Welcome to Pride Camp, where diversity and inclusion is our motto. We’ve got Daddies, Mommies, littles, pets, and families of all kinds. So, unroll your sleeping bag, make a couple of s’mores, and enjoy the show!
REVIEW:
Oh man, can I just say this book was so much fun.
The worldbuilding in this one is so fantastic. I mean what is better than a fancy camp in the woods, with all the fun things from childhood camps to do and experience. Oh, and did I mention some sexy times in the woods? But I’ve gotten ahead of myself.
What wonderfully diverse characters we have in this story. We have Canyon and Wade as our main characters. Canyon is so sweet he tempts Wade at every turn. Wade is our not really in the closest CEO. But he’s not exactly out and proud, unlike Canyon. Not only are the main characters fully developed, but the side characters are also really well developed. So much depth is given to all of D.K.’s characters. Enough depth, that I might have wanted to smack at least one of them… I’m looking at you Meredith…
The story has all the fun elements of a classic ROM-COM. One brother (River) flakes on his boss (Wade), so the other brother (Canyon) steps in to help and save his brothers job. While filling in for his brother, he then develops feelings for said boss. But does the boss have ulterior motives? Someone is out to sabotage his plans and with skullduggery afoot, the race is on to find the mole inside the company. Not to mention, you have step mommy dearest and her shenanigans. But amongst all this, Canyon and Wade find themselves trying to navigate the rush of their instant attraction. The sexy times are plentiful and steamy too.
Will Canyon save Rivers job? Will Wade discover who is trying to sabotage the company? Will Meredith get hers? Well, as usual, I am not going to tell you. You need to read this wonderfully crafted, funny story for yourself and discover all the intrigue and camp shenanigans for yourself.
I highly recommend this story by D.K. Sutton. I insist you run right out to your favorite eBook purchasing site and grab this book up, you won’t regret it.
Til next time …
