Can a man who has dedicated his life to upholding the law and the president of an outlaw motorcycle club find enough common ground for their mutual attraction to grow into more?

Disillusioned with his career in law enforcement and having given up on finding his one and only, J. Fitzgerald Morgan packs his bags and heads west to Las Vegas where he joins Sparks Bail Bonds as a bail recovery agent. A bounty hunter, which isn’t as glamorous as portrayed in the movies. Will the career move fulfill his need for justice to prevail?

Sawyer “Bones” Abbott is the president of the Pahrump Steel Cowboys, an outlaw motorcycle club that Bones is trying to turn legit against the wishes of several of his club brothers. The responsibilities of the MC’s five businesses rest heavily on his shoulders, especially when another club sets its sights on taking over the Cowboys’ holdings.

Fitz and Bones go on a date that ends well, but Bones ghosts him. Can the two men put the hurt feelings behind them and work together to find one of Bones’ employees when the guy disappears right before a legitimate moneymaker that the Cowboys have invested heavily in?

The question circling Bones’ mind is… When will the man stop Givin’ Me Fitz?

REVIEW:

I don’t know how I missed this one but I LOVE Sam’s Heroes and this new spin-off series is awesome.

Fitz Morgan is 50 and starting is fourth career. He was retired Master Chief Petty Officer in the US Navy’s Special Warfare Division for 20 years Then he did  a stint with the US Marshall’s for twelve more.  While working at that he left became disenchanted with the legal system  and became a bodyguard for Gabe Torrente’s GEA-A protection firm.  Now he’s trying his hand as  a bail recovery agent (bounty hunter) that Dallas St. Michael had help lead him to after helping rescue Gabe’s parents. Sparks Bail Bonds, and its two owner/husbands Sparky and Monty, eagerly hired Fitz to join their crew with his credentials and Dallas’s recommendation. But watching the two newlyweds in love is hard for Fitz. At fifty he had hoped to have found his “one” but love has evaded him. That is until Sawyer “Bones” Abbott, current president of the Pahrump Steel Cowboys outlaw motorcycle club, walks into the office to pay the bond on one of his sex workers at Cowpokes brothel. Sawyer and Jesse Sparks were tight and he was the one that was beaten so badly by the Scorpions outlaw motorcycle club as a diversion to get Gabe’s parents rescued.  When the gorgeous Sawyer asks Fitz to dinner he’s shocked but agrees to go. After dinner the two drive out to the desert for a mutual hand job then Sawyer takes off and ghosts Fitz. But after several weeks neither man can get the other off their minds and Sawyer comes back around. However Fitz is leery to say yes again. He isn’t looking to be another quick hook-up with the younger man. But both men realize that the other is the one they long for but can they learn to trust the other? Especially with their age difference and coming from opposite sides of the law?

I loved that these two men were so different yet strangely quite similar. Sawyer was trying his hardest to get his MC to become more legal and legit since he took over the reins from his father. And Fitz has become disillusioned with how the law system has operated from his experiences with the Marshall’s. But true love showed them that they were meant for one another and they needed to see that they could work.

As expected, there is some blood shed and a few less than legal activities that happen when there is an outlaw motorcycle club involved. I did like that when Sawyer took over the club from his day he was trying hard to legitimize their interests and make them follow the law. At least in their business practices. And I get the older “one-per enters” took issue with his changes he enacted. But the ones that mattered most seemed to be pleased with his leadership and the direction they were taking.

I am wondering if Sparks Bail Bonds newest recruit/bondsman, former Trooper Jagger Hansen, will be our next bondsman to find out??? I guess we will just have to wait and see! Givin’ Me Fitz was the perfect addition to the Prey for the Hunter series and I personally can’t wait for more!
