I am so glad that Author Raiven Matthews decided to expand upon this story. “His Pretty Omega was previously released as part of the Knotting Hearts Charity Anthology. It has been expanded with more than 30k of additional content.” I truly enjoyed the short novella but felt like I missed a lot of Seth and Alex’s story. This expanded now novel filled in those gaps and did justice to their journey. I fell like we now have their complete story in true Raiven Matthews style.
Seth, Bennett’s Bestie, made sure that everything was going according to plans and his bestie had his bun in the oven safely cooking and headed out of town to the big New years Eve party at the fancy hotel in Hollow Ridge. It was several hours from sweet Alps but that was fine with everyone. So Seth did himself up to his finest shiny self and started flirting with all the single Alphas present. But one particularly smoking hot tall and cool Alpha that was leaning against the bar tucked away caught his attention immediately. So why not let his bratty side out and he strolled over and stole the hottie’s drink and downed it. He had one of the expensive hottie’s drink and downed it. He had one of the expensive wristbands that gave him unlimited top shelf drinks all night so I didn’t feel bad for my actions. And the weird electric zaps that traveled across my skin and his possessive “Mine!” he uttered were a true turn on!
When Alex booked this expensive and fun night for himself and his now Ex-boyfriend River he imagined a night of dancing, hopefully getting to use his salsa moves, and fun. But River turned out to be a cheater and he forgot all about the booking until the reminder email came and it was too late to cancel and get his hundreds of dollars back he had already spent. So why not head out of town to the big party. He had a nice room, a big bed, a yummy buffet to eat and plenty of top shelf booze to help forget what was. When the absolutely stunning single omega caught his eye and then proceeded to steal his drink he had hopes of a fun romp to fill his New Year’s celebration. But the moment he laid hands on the gorgeous omega his wolf sat up and cried Mate! The Goddess had finally blessed him with his fated mate that he had been waiting all his life for. But life took a different path when he woke up the next morning with an empty other side of the bed and a note that simply read “Thanks for starting my year off with a bang. It was fun!” But Alex never forgot his mate and Valentine’s Day brought a different gift than Seth expected. Thankfully Bennett recognized the Alpha in the picture Seth had and steered him to his Alpha to share his news!
I truly have enjoyed getting to know all these omegas from Wade’s Musketeers group. You know that if they are around Wade they are sure to provide entertainment and excitement. Although I believe that Seth gives Wade a bit of a run for his money in the sassy department. But under that confident and sexy exterior we saw the glimpses of self-doubt that he never lets be seen. His personal family dynamics were very eye opening and gave insight to how that molded him as an adult. I loved that Alex stood up to Seth’s family, especially his immature and demanding little sister.
I understood Seth’s difficulty with trying to pack. It can be a very daunting chore on its own. Add in pregnancy brain and it can be overwhelming and it’s just easier to shut down and ignore it. But Alex’s understanding and patience really sealed the deal that he was the real thing and the perfect mate for the sassy and beautiful omega.
As I stated earlier, I’m thrilled that Author Raiven Matthews chose to expand their story into a full novel. I absolutely love this series and desired this last of the Musketeers omegas story to be complete too. Now I’m waiting for the next generation to live their lives and we get to be front and center! This is a great series and this finale is sure to give you all the good feels.
