REVIEW:

I had high expectations after the first book for Boden and Hugo’s story and EM Lindsey as always just blew them out of the water. This story is perfectly written. It ties in their extra my rocky animosity driven start, gives a background to their first interaction, the slow evolution of they discover they can get what they need from the other and how they are better for it.

The swoon is epic in this one. I loveeeeed the nicknames, nod to a power exchange, the unconditional support, the spectacular found family that are really representative of the themes EM Lindsey always delivers in with emotionally rich writing that grabs a hold of you.

Boden is angry, lost, resentful and when he finds out Hugo is the able bodied coach for their team he is enraged, specially when he feels Hugo doesn’t remember their one night together. Hugo in his words has been rotting since his loss, drowning in apathy, till something sparks when he sees the brazen stranger across the bar.

Their relationship dynamic, the push and pull, the shift from animosity to love was absolute fire. The other thing EM Lindsey handles so well in her stories is any kind of disability rep and this series of differently abled hockey players is perfection in my opinion.

I highly recommend checking out this series, this was a great addition and I can’t wait for Ford’s story next.
